Next Overwatch Hero is "Very Far Along in Development" | Beyond Entertainment

Overwatch’s development team is still pumping out more content for their renowned first-person shooter. Recently, Jeff Kaplan, Overwatch’s game director, announced that the next Overwatch hero’s release isn’t as far away as fans might suspect.

“Yes! I absolutely know who the next hero is going to be. The next hero is very far along in development, so we’re at the point where we’re doing art for that hero, and we’re doing a lot of aggressive play-testing.” – Jeff Kaplan, Director

Blizzard Entertainment recently released Orisa, a tank class hero with new unique abilities and traits. Despite the recent hero release, Blizzard is already gearing up for the launch for the next hero with heavy play testing and art finalization.

Many fans speculate that the next hero will be an entity named Doomfist, who’s weaponry and image has been featured throughout cinematic trailers and in-game locations. Also, he just might be voiced by Terry Crews, so that’s pretty awesome.
