A new trailer for Middle-earth: Shadow of War released through WB Games showcases one of the new Orc tribes you’ll go up against as Talion. The Dark tribe utilizes “ambushes, double-crosses, and battlefield trickery” to serve the Dark Lord of Mordor. From the trailer, they seem to have impressive skills in both movement and combat, so check it out below.
Shadow of War is expanding the mechanics of its critically successful predecessor, Shadow of Mordor, in the way it situates tribes and their Overlords. The story of Talion and elf lord Celebrimbor’s partnership continues as they forge a new Ring of Power and assemble an army to fight Sauron. Thus, the game looks to vastly increase its scale of combat. Taking over fortresses across the open world and converting their leadership is key, and the Nemesis system from the previous game will have expanded consequence within the Orcs’ tribal society. Nothing will be forgotten.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam October 10, 2017, with preorder bonuses available for Standard, Silver, Gold, and Mithril retail editions.
