During the Gamescom Xbox Media Briefing, 343 Industries took to the stage to not only talk about Halo: The Master Chief Collection but talked more about Halo 5: Guardians and the beta coming in December.
The video showed off map designs for maps that will be coming with the beta and hopefully the final game.
Starting on December 29th, 2014 – the Halo 5: Guardians beta will kick off and will feature up to seven multiplayer maps and three game modes.
The beta will also feature up to eleven weapons including the Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, DMR, SMG, Rocket Launcher, Sniper Rifle and more. Alongside this, the beta will feature seven Spartan armor sets that you can customize throughout the duration of the beta.
Quinn DelHoyo – Multiplayer Designer at 343 Industries said “Small maps that are really tailored to 4v4 combat. We’ve also got fair starts. What that means is, no one is going to have a different loadout than the other person. Every member on Red Team is going to be the same as every member of Blue Team.”
This is huge news for Halo fans who were a fan of the old style Halo gameplay that was traditionally seen in Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo 3.
Quinn DelHoyo re-confirmed that the Halo 5: Guardians beta will be running at an amazing 60 frames per second to ensure the best possible multiplayer experience during the beta over the Christmas Holidays.
During the beta, players will be able to earn exclusive items which will carry over to the final game when Halo 5: Guardians launches in Fall 2015.
Players will be able to play the Halo 5: Guardians starting December 29th, 2014 throughout until January 18th, 2015 through Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
