Will Flag Dropping Be In Halo 2: Anniversary?

Just thought I would ask this considering alot of people hated the Flagnum in Halo 4, but I imagine this would require more coding and animation work and since H2A is part halo 4 engine, will flag dropping be in H2A?

Descoping wasn't in H4 (and was only modded in through a workaround using extraction object) so I assume coding it in shouldn't be a problem.

At least, not on release day. Someone will have Forged it by day 2.

Of course it will be... I don't think they'd pull the Flagnum on us again lol, ESPECIALLY when they're trying to replicate Halo 2 gameplay to a T.

As much as the game does not look or feel like H4, it's a fact that it was built off the H4 engine. There are many assets that were taken straight ouf ot H4, like medals, player models, loadout menus, the lobbies (though they're significantly better now), and more. I'm sure Forge will help confirm that.

 

But I'm positive we won't see a flagnum just because it wasn't in H2 and it would not make sense at all. The pistol would have to kill in less than a clip for it to be viable, and it would be an extremely powerful weapon (considering it's the H2 pistol) without spread.

HAS FLINCH? ORDNANCE? AAS? SPRINT? FUCKING HITMARKERS, PLACEHOLDER MEDALS, STAR TREK LENS FLARE DOESNT MEAN H2A COMES FROM H4 NOR PLAYS LIKE HALO 4.

 

Seriously guys, when did we start bitching about the medals.

 

Dude, they changed the Sniper model. (It was Halo 4's sniper in E3, and is a different one now) Why are we honestly giving a crap about the medals!?

I don't know about you, but sprint, no ranks, customizable loadouts (lol boltshots, camo and wallhacks on tap), ridiculous radar range, giant maps, power weapons falling from the skies at random and AAs were all very detrimental to the experience that H4 provided. While no descope sucked, it was far from just limited to that.

BECAUSE WE ALREADY HAVE HALO 2 AND THEY ARE TRYING TO MODERNIZE THE SERIES TO HELP SELL NEW COPIES. AS LONG AS SPRINT/FLINCH/FLAGUM ARE GONE EVERYTHING SHOULD BE GOOD.

They explained that the AR was added to the sandbox to fill a void between the SMG's short range and low damage (especially when not dual wielding, AKA off-spawn) and the BR's very long range as a non-power weapon. It makes sense from a dev standpoint. 

 

Anyway, if we have modes were we start with duals, the pistol is one of the loadout options so it's not that bad at all.

 

 

Keep in mind that there's a very fine line between skepticism and cynicism, and just staight up assuming the devs are on a mission to deliver to worst possible experience to competitive players.

was only trying to make the point that if the sandbox is butchered it will still suck even without sprint, flagnum and flinch
