BrutallyDigital Posted August 16, 2014 With the MCC coming soon, and with the recent game play shown off, I think there is some changes that we don't like about the work in progress build. So, let's discuss the issues that we have with this current build. PLEASE KEEP IT CONSTRUCTIVE 1 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
iRGush Posted August 16, 2014 Grenade hitmarkers and visual bloom on the sniper are some of the first to come to mind for me. I haven't seen too much gameplay yet though. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Crav3n Posted August 16, 2014 it looks like a halo 4 map pack...weapon/grenade indicators pretty much gave it that vibe for me...at least the gameplay will be worlds better. 3 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
CyReN Posted August 16, 2014 Not really a fan of the dynamic events. 5 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Hitman Posted August 16, 2014 Its not classic H2...and all the noobs will be playing H2A thinking they are playing H2 when their not. Different engine, different game. 2 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
BrutallyDigital Posted August 16, 2014 Personally, I think some of the stuff in Halo 4 shouldn't be in. Grenade Indicator, Hit Marks, and footstep noise. The Medals I don't really care for because the majority of the medals I think deserve to be in. However 343 still made way too many unnecessary ones. Not to mention, they need to increase the size of the medals. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Albinoceros Posted August 16, 2014 Shadows are too dark, harder to notice enemies and weapons than it should be. Quote Share this post Link to post
Kush n 40s Posted August 16, 2014 Grenade hit makers The H4 announcer H4 medals......WAY TO MANY! Sniper sounds like a pistol Looks like there is alot of aim assist 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Philosopher Posted August 16, 2014 Wait, what... there's hit markers for nades? Not cool yo! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Hitzel_89 Posted August 16, 2014 Looks like there is alot of aim assist Well to be fair, this is Halo 2 Anniversary after all haha. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post
Nokt Posted August 16, 2014 Seeing opponents names through walls. I was watching the stream today and saw them looking at small tower and could see their name without actually seeing them. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
Hitzel_89 Posted August 16, 2014 SUN GLARE Yeah. This is a huge issue and it's something they seem proud of. Yuck... Quote Share this post Link to post
Kreutz Posted August 16, 2014 I don't like the heavy sounding footsteps. Don't like Jeff announcing things like 'Snapshot', 'Overshield', and 'Comeback Kill'. Hoping the sounds of the game turn out better, such as the BR and the Sniper Rifle. Those sounded great in Halo 2. Maybe go for a more classic feel. Bring back the death yells that we used to have, like the "Ahhhh". Getting a boost upward from the lift on Ascension could use a sound. Just mimic the one from Halo 2. I'd like to see faster reload times, especially on the BR. Remove the grenade explosion screen shake. Get rid of the music that plays before the game and as it nears an end. The color contrast might be too extreme on Sanctuary. Definitely reduce that sun glare and lighten up the shadows, they're too dark. Reduce the size of the weapon icons on the top right of the HUD. Grenade indicators need removed. I'm indifferent on hit markers that appear near the reticle. Damage indicators appear far too long on the screen and are too large. Bring back the old Halo style of medals, you know when a 'Double Kill' was yellow, and not black or whatever it is in Halo 4. Add better cover in Ascension. The rocks that were at the perimeter of top middle were quite tall in Halo 2, and they seem small in H2A. Having Weapon Sets with the Plasma Pistol might do more harm than good. Having bloom on the sniper after it fires is bad form. Picking up Overshield should not be heard across the map. Overshield should have two layers and not just one. The shield recharge seems slower compared to Halo 2/3 and it takes a while for the shields to begin charging. I'll add more to this post as I watch more gameplay. 15 Quote Share this post Link to post
The Snazzer Posted August 16, 2014 Yeah. This is a huge issue and it's something they seem proud of. Yuck... Every remaster is either too dark or sun is raping your face. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lukes Posted August 16, 2014 If the H4 stuff are not placeholders, then that would be my biggest dislike. H4 Medals, announcer, music before the game ends, hit markers, etc.. I don't want to feel like I'm playing H4 on H2 maps. The lighting looks like it could be a big issue with spots being too dark or having too much sun glare. Maybe it's fine while playing, but it just looks that way while watching the vids. The new features on the maps might be an annoyance, but it probably won't be that big a deal. BrutallyDigital Posted August 16, 2014 The H4 announcer I thought the announcer was just fine. At least they weren't reusing the same thing like they did with Reach. H4 medals......WAY TO MANY! For the most part, yeah way too many unnecessary medals . But the main medals are just fine, just need to be a bit larger. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Hitzel_89 Posted August 16, 2014 I just realized that you can hear OS being picked up across the map (seriously, it lets you know). 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
BrutallyDigital Posted August 16, 2014 I just realized that you can hear OS being picked up across the map (seriously, it lets you know). That better be a bug. Edit: And the music that they have in game better not be in the final product. That shit is annoying. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
jeromesix Posted August 16, 2014 The maps look like shit. Too much detail and lighting - even if Halo 3 and Reach had terrible maps you could still make out enemies in the distance. It's not any closer to H2 than CEA was to CE. 3 11 Quote Share this post Link to post
II CasTLe Posted August 16, 2014 The receiving damage indicators (big large arrows telling you where you're being shot from). Serious hand holding, and ruins setting up good flanks. Imagine how heavy flanking maps like station 9 would play with this feature, would ruin all competitive viability. 1 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Bdog Posted August 16, 2014 I have only seen two short games so far but it reminds me of H4 a bit too much. I hope H2A turns out to be fun but if not we still have three other games to play. Quote Share this post Link to post
Cursed Lemon Posted August 16, 2014 I literally don't care about it. I'm not going to be playing it. 9 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
The Snazzer Posted August 16, 2014 I literally don't care about it. I'm not going to be playing it. But they did such a good job on the sun. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
