That's what I'm saying, didn't seem weak at all to me. I picked it up off someone and was able to grab a couple kills with it no problem.

 

If by "nerfed" we mean, "can't thrust-chase towards someone and spam the damn gun", then yes.. It's nerfed lol.

 

I didn't get a shotgun though, but I'd imagine it wasn't too bad. I think I remember @@Mythik Nick having one at one point.. What do you think Nick?

 

Shotty seemed about the same, honestly. So did the SMG for that matter, as I remember NavG absolutely shredding me with it once.

 

On a side note, I'd love to test 4sk Magnum only starts with rifle pickups replaced with Magnum ammo. Then the only big problem with the Magnum would be range.

 

And yeah, Railgun needs to go, as far as I'm concerned.

I have 4SK settings I put a little bit of testing into, but never got around to making maps for them because this was before Forge.

To the dismay of certain people on these forums, I don't want to change too much. My two goals are to make the Magnum a 4SK, and disable sprint while only touching anything else to balance out those changes. As such, I only bumped the player acceleration up to 120% because 130 felt too slippery and any higher walk speed makes camo unviable.

Railgun can definitely go. Don't see any use for it on any of these maps. That and splinter grenades. Those can go too imo.

Haha just keep them in the OP, just add a break line or something and make it look nice a purty.

 

If the GT list begins to get really long, you can always add spoiler tags or a table or something to make it readable.

I made three changes in my version of FFA. I made it 15 minutes, Unlimited Score, and turned Radar on.

 

Similar to how competitive FFAs used to work. Can be switched to 12 minute, Score: 50, if you're looking for a "matchmaking" type experience.

I personally think score should be unlimited. Also, make sure radar is 25 meters.

The only way to get exactly 25 meter radar is to take the BTB base 343I gametype and make the settings changes from there.

 

I plan on posting my own 4sk Magnum settings like this later tonight.

Yeah, definitely man. It only makes sense, you get more out of the FFA if you just play for 15 minutes. Especially on the Spaceshift map. It felt great outside of the lifts and a few of the spawns.

Yeah. Unfortunately now it is a percentage. And none of the available percentages equal 25 meters.

 

But at least BTB gets it right.

I didn't get a chance to use the shotgun/scattershot much, but if they are in fact too weak, we should consider using req variants, namely lawgiver and the scattershot that you're supposed to bounce off of shit.

 

Anyone feel like digging through that classic map submission thread and finding some good candidates?

 

We should compile a list of maps that play properly with these settings.

I haven't played the settings, but please. Play a little bit first, get used to it, most of you guys are probably used to the overpowered Halo 5/4 shotgun.
