The sad or funny part is I actually think that whenever I see the Pegasus map flyover before the game starts and then you see the spartans standing in the middle of nowhere.

Overall I have not enjoyed the beta, in my opinion the game feels like halo 4 with extra gimmicks. I honestly don't like the direction Halo 5 is going, but either way here is my feedback.

 

Give us the classic scope in my BR/DMR

ADS needs to be remove from the game

Mantle and ground pound needs to go
Slide makes no sense in this game
The maps are based around sprint and mantle

Sprint needs be remove

Announcer sounds high as hell needs to be toned down
To much in-game medals
Weapon design looks stupids
Ranks/Division Medals needs a major face lift eg: (Black ops 2/League of Legends)
The Br Feels like a single Shot weapon

Grenades are OP

I cannot check my stats while moving (in game)

Controls are messed up

Animation at the end of a match,Spartans acting like the just won a football game giving high five etc.(OUT)

Prophet's bane OP

Great survey, I encourage everyone to vote on this. It's a shame the Halo Community Feedback survey wasn't as detailed as this.

Is it possible that 343 never thought about adding questions of that topic?

Alright.... i've hit the point where I cant even stand watching people play H5 on twitch, let alone play it myself.

 

Yeah tried to watch a bit of h5, got so snore I threw that shit away. Watching an ff "speedun" now. Thanks Dan aboob, queer delamo and of course, sir. Me Kevin franklin. Man's boys.

Only reason I voted BR/Mag starts was because I know that they'll never make the Pistol the starting/utility weapon it should be, but I'll still use it because I'm addicted to using the Magnum.

I've been thinking a bit and also drinking quite a lot

 

of water.  None of the mechanics 343 added works with Halo.  There is no valid defense for any of them.  I don't like any of them, not even thruster pack (any base mechanic that needs to be balanced by interfering with other types of mechanics is not a good idea).  But what if instead of throwing out that which is not Halo, we threw out the Halo?  Take out regenerating shields and implement an armor system.  Sprint and thruster would still be less than ideal, but at least their purpose would not conflict with the base assumption of decisively lethal engagements.

In my opinion if there are many specific reasons why an ability should not be in the game and the only reasons for having it in are:

- Immersion

- It's 2015, it has to change well...just because

 

Then it shouldn't be in the game. If the cons outweigh the pros then keep it out. Or just keep it in custom game options or social playlists

I do consider immersion to be very important to a game though.

 

It's just...

1.  They pull the immersion card on things that don't even relate to immersion (on the list of things that break my immersion, having no sprint isn't even on it).

2.  They ignore things that actually do break my immersion (If smart scope is linked to my sight, why do I see the sight itself?)

3.  Obviously it's a game, and gameplay is more important.  But we all already knew this.

 

So basically, even as someone who values immersion, I can't understand half the shit 343I is doing.

As a long die hard Halo fan boy since I first bought the OG Xbox, I can safely say I will not be purchasing this game. Halo is now dead to me as this game is a disgrace to everything Halo once stood for. I see no hope and no future in this game from a competitive standpoint and that sucks and hurts real bad.

Just telling it like it is, I'm sure there's many many other people who are utterly disappointed with the direction this franchasise has taken. If we have one chance to make it right, now is the time but 343 won't listen.

Halo 4 sold on the hype "HALO IS BACK!!".  People were expecting a follow up from Halo 3, not Reach.  That card is gone and MCC has well and truly extinguished any benefit of the doubt for a lot of old school fans.

Halo 5 makes me sad. I stuck through Reach and Halo 4 but I don't think I can do three more years of trying to convince myself the next game will be better. MCC was supposed to be my fallback if H5 was a bust, but the games been out 2 months and still doesn't work. It's also hard to be motivated to grind Halo and maintain skill when you know the future games aren't going to be fun competitively.

The sad thing is thruster is not a bad ability for Halo at all, dodge-type moves have worked in many different comp games to great affect particularly Arena FPS. I am 100 percent convinced its the inability of the offensive player to effectively punish the defensive player literally running away(which should have equal opportunity for the offensive player to punish him pursuing at the same speed by logic in Arena FPS). The inability to R+G to finish kills while thrusting/sprinting is a CLEAR design mistake in any Arena-style FPS. I challenge anyone from 343 to ask any competent Arena shooter dev or hardcore Halo player his honest opinion on this subject and they will agree with me(Quinn should contact  Cliffy B and get his opinion seeing as how he's a former colleague and has played the H5 beta). I have seen almost nobody on this forum disagree with this logic.

 

BUT, what makes the inability to R+G in a primarily R+G FPS worse is that Halo has REGEN SHIELDS/HEALTH. This could be the most damning aspect of why sprint will never work in Halo. In Traditional Arena FPS, you lose almost all of your armor/health from a near-death encounter in which you decide to bail out from. You then have to locate health/armor pick-ups and there would be a longer "build up" time before you are ready to take on a stronger enemy 1v1 again. In Halo, the only game where this is really a factor is Halo CE in which it really matters and it might be best to locate a health pack before re-entering battle after a near death encounter. So not only do you have the inability of the offensive player to effectively pursue and punish the defensive player, but you have players getting away scotch-free as well with no punishment and little "build-up" time as punishment. 343 has TRIED to balance the risk-reward out by making sprint/thrust delay shield recharge but I firmly believe both the ability to R+G while sprinting(preferably just remove sprint and up the base movement)/thrustering and harsher punishment for constantly bailing out of battles is necessary for true combat balance and mechanical fluidity.
