At least the BR isn't quite as cancerous as the last time. Speaking of which, did they total unintentionally mess up a random setting like shield recharge delay again?

That H3 playlist just reminds me even more how broken nades and power weapons are. Also can't forget how good camo is in default since it takes you off the radar. Of all the weird things to do like lower BMS I can't believe they didn't reduce nade radius too to match H3 more. Oh well.

I came on here specifically to post this same exact shit ha. Im pretty sure like hit markers, nades are hard coded.

 

Still the best playlist in the game though

Nade radius is a custom game option. This shouldn’t be a problem, but alas...

There is 2 problems plaguing this playlist though.

 

 

1. Sniper is too powerful because it does not function as a reflection of Halo 3s gameplay, but Halo 5s. Hitboxes are too big, bullet magnetism too stong, and this also plays into problem #2.

 

2. Base speed is too slow. Feels even slower than vanilla Halo 3 base speed.

 

 

Grim, not sure what influences you have at 343 because, to be frank, I haven't played attention to much of your post and know much about your background, but, if you're able to pass on something to bring the team aware the base speed just seems too slow, that'd be greaaaatttt

Do we have some sort of confirmation that 343 is trying to penetrate the BR market?

 

All we have at the minute is the leak that they're experimenting with more connections per session.

I seriously (hopefully) doubt they are making concentrated attempts at penetrating the BR market.  Allowing something like 64 connected sessions at once for giant big team games (which would be sick) would enable this gametype to exist though.  So if BR comes to Halo as a dedicated effort and that idea is the impetus for allowing more connected sessions, that is bad.  If BR comes to Halo as a by-product of allowing more connections for big team, thats a win.

Wish I understood the reasoning for reducing base speed for the H3 playlist.

It seems like a weird decision to make when there's no projectile travel time on most common weapons and the Sniper feels like it's unavoidably balanced around the Spartan abilities.

LOL yes they did.  And the spawns are just as bad as you remember.

Its got some of the best framerate of the forge maps though.

We need to all play THE SHIT OUT OF the new H3 playlist regardless how bad it may be just to show 343 we prefer a classic Halo over the gimmick Halo they keep pushing.

That'll be easy because its the only one im interesting in playing atm.

Base movement speed, sniper and grenades are the only issues with that playlist.  Oh yeah and framerate on a couple of the maps but most of them are fine.

Shoot almost forgot about the weird pulse and recoil of the BR sight.  Why is that a thing?

The only map I keep getting in the H3 playlist has been ghosttown. It's getting kinda annoying, but damn am I having fun playing.

Let's go through a few reasons this H3 playlist is trash.
 
FULL POWERED H5 NUKE NADES ON TINY MAPS SCALED FOR SLOWER AND NO-SPRINT MOVEMENT. They literally buffed them since last time.
Reduced base movement speed.
Useless strafe.
Goofball recoil BR.
God-awful game types.
Mostly terrible maps. (no Heretic remake, of course)
Dual H5 sniper on H3 map layouts. (Are they still on dynamic timers like last time? I wasn't paying that much attention.)
Horrendous H3 default weapon layouts, even on otherwise decent maps.
Broken spawns.
Forge map frame rates.
 
Did I miss anything?
