This fucking RNG to get the One Thousand Voices.....

Reminds me a bit of trying to get Crux of Crota to drop. Then again, RNGesus hates me.

I have heard Destiny 3 will allow players to use darkness abilities.

Hopefully 60fps on console as well. This 30fps is making me throw up

hey guys, so I finally got around to reinstalling D2 given that the new expansion is apparently good (I'm definitely impressed so far)

my main question is PvP ... speaking as someone who has spent ~8000 hours playing Halo multiplayer, can someone give me a breakdown of how the eff I should be playing PvP in this game, in terms that a Halo player can understand?  it's inherently inbalanced, I'm guessing?  shotties seem to be the meta?  I have no clue what I'm doing (I'm going positive in terms of k/d but feel lost, basically)

Bungie split from Activision! Maybe we won't have to pay an arm and a leg for DLC and have a good game on launch date for D3

Totally forgot the last word was put in D2. I was grinding out a bunch of exotic quests that had been sitting in my inventory forever and was pleasantly surprised.

Summary of all the news

The core game will be renamed to Destiny 2: New Light

Once Shadowkeep launches on September 17th, the base game will go free-to-play and include "all year one content, including "foundational modes, activities and rewards."" So you'll be able to play the base game, as well as the content added as part of the Curse of Osiris and Warmind expansions, for free

"This represents a change for the Destiny franchise as it seeks to lure gamers away from popular free titles like Fortnite. Previously, players paid upfront for the game and bought big expansions to gain access to new raids, missions and in-game items, either separately or as an annual pass subscription. Now, the core game will stay free, while additional content will be made available in the form of paid "à la carte" offerings like Shadowkeep."

Going forward, no more content will be made exclusive to one platform over others. All platforms will have the same access to all new content at the same time

Cross-save will be added for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Google Stadia.

Soon, the game will move from Battle.net to Steam on PC. Existing Battle.net players will be able to migrate all characters and purchases over to the Steam version once this happens

That's really awesome right there. F that Playstation exclusivity that existed in Destiny.

I didn't really care that much. It would have been nice to have just a couple more strikes to mix up the strike playlist, but they would have just become as repetitive as the rest. I don't think any of the exclusive guns were ever really in the PvP meta, I could be wrong about that, but I never really stressed about it.
