Definitely 1080p. 60 FPS is... possible. Unlikely to happen though.

I give this thread 2-3 more hrs before it's locked because the rumor is false. Why would 343 remake Halo 2 with a full multiplayer and sabotage the release of Halo 5? Who is going to play a sequel to Halo 4 when they can play Halo 2 with updated gfx? This is a business and they would never cripple the sales of a NEW halo game by remaking an old title. It's way too many things conflicting between both games to see this as a possibility.

I get what you're saying, but the ultimate goal for 343 is to make money. Why wouldn't H2 remake make money? Given H4, I think people may have more Confidence in a solid remake of a game we KNOW is good vs. H5.

The sales from this one game and console alone and the hype train it would generate for Halo again would make it a smart decision.

Releasing a game everyone has been begging for a remake of, allowing extra time to polish Halo 5 so it can actually function properly and not be released with a bunch of broken half assed features/game mechanics…that sounds down right responsible of 343, how dare a developer care about its community and IP! #lulz

 

Seriously tho, along with a Halo TV show produced by Mr. Steven, what better way to get people hyped for Halo again than to relive one of the best online experiences of all time…along with an amazing campaign. It's got some hate from a few but once you hit the menu again, play thru some levels, hear that music along with "Nothing But Jackal" how could you hate on that:)

Even if this rumor happens to be true, I still am going to be skeptical. The ton's of extra features tidbit leaves me a bit worried. If this game does get made I expect super bounces and button glitches to be removed and either AA or equipment to somehow be implemented back in.

What if we get Halo 2 MP with some tweaks and then Halo 5 is just DLC for it? I mean, as long as they fix the hitboxes, I'd be totally ok with that

I loved the Halo 2 campaign, even with it's ending. To see those environments, that music, and everything in between all remastered in HD - I don't even know what I would do with myself.
