Fable Anniversary Thread

Lionhead has announced Fable Anniversary will launch for Xbox 360 on February 4 in North America, February 6 in Australia and February 7 in Europe.

 

Fable Anniversary will mark the first time the original entry in the series is available on Xbox 360. It's set to make its debut with updated HD graphics, remastered audio, a new interface, achievements, SmartGlass integration and The Lost Chapters DLC content all in tow.

 

A limited-run version of the game will also be available, including a code for the "Launch Day Weapons & Outfits Pack". It contains Scythe's Outfit, a Black Graduate Outfit, Red Prophet Outfit, Blue Guard Outfit, Red Guard Outfit, a Lute Weapon and a Will User’s Sceptre Weapon.

 

Finally, the game will also come with a 10th Anniversary Lion's Head Avatar Helmet.

Though it was originally scheduled to release earlier this year, the game was delayed to give the development team more time to refine it..

 

Lionhead is also working on Fable Legends; a multiplayer-focused spin-off title that's headed to Xbox One in beta form next year.

I'm still mad this didn't come out in November because since I sold my 360 when I got my x1 I won't be able to play this. Fable 1 was the first Xbox game I bought with my own money and I played the hell out of it. Would love to relive that again.

Anyone here been keeping their eye on Fable Anniversary?

 

Its coming out real soon (Feb 4th) on 360.

 

Coming from an old school Fable fan, I personally am looking forward to checking out the upgrades and challenges.

But my worry is, is now the right time to release a game on 360?

Will it be a flop when it comes to sales?

Will it succeed?

 

I'll be picking it up - anyone else?
