Halo 3 Playlist Consolidation

Recommended Posts

------

What playlists would you like to see for Halo 3? Here's my picks:

Ranks

-Lone Wolves
-Team Slayer

-Team Doubles
-Team Skrimish
-Team Snipers
-MLG

Social

-Social Slayer

-Social Skirmish

-Big Team Battle

-Action Sack

-Multi-Team

DLC not needed for any of the playlists.

NOTE: Just so we are all clear, consolidation is removing/merging playlists, not adding and creating new ones entirely. Don't expect anything new to accompany this supposed update.

Remove Team Mythic, the playlist has failed to have any decent numbers whenever I've played in the past few months and took a long time to

find matches.

Be still my beating heart.

I'd love for them to release the DLC for free, since it's a 6 year old game, and their new console is going to come out in a month

Is it going to come with all the DLC included, or are we going to have to buy them separate?

It'll be exactly like the disc version from Sep 25th, 2007. Gonna have to buy them separate.

However, the Heroic Map Pack and Cold Storage is free, with Legendary and Mythic I being dirt cheap.

As long as doubles ts MLg are all up I'm happy. I would prefer no dlc needed but I may just get mythic if it comes down to it it was the only map pack I never got. I plan on playing this more than h4 once people get back on.

Not included. Buy a mythic disc or buy the DLC packs.

DLC can't be free if it has achievement attached to it. Microsoft policy.

That's a pretty solid well thought out list. As it would sustain a lower population over time.

Except the DLC required, that is always dicy.

They didn't say consolidation, they said sprucing up the playlists.

This is what I want...

War Games: (All of these to be Ranked).

-Rumble Pit (8 person FFA).

-Team Slayer (4v4 Slayer variants).

-Team Doubles (2v2 Slayer/Objective variants).

-Team Objective (4v4 Objective variants).

-Big Team Battle (8v8 Slayer/Objective variants).

-MLG (4v4 MLG v8 variants).

Special: (These to be Social).

-7th on the 7th (7 man FFA).

-Team DLC (4v4 Slayer/Objective variants on DLC maps).

I want the playlist in two categories, War Games and Special.

I think when people see "Ranked" it turns them away. So the idea is just to make the name not "Ranked" but instead, "War Games." I think this would make people not get intimidated. And it would also lead to more competitive matches.

Small changes:

-Add community made maps in and remove certain maps like Tundra and Foundry.

-Make all Objective gametypes BR start with AR secondary.

Just imagine if Halo 3 gets so popular that 343 stops updating Halo 4 and starts giving weekly updates for Halo 3  :kappa:
