Mindful Posted August 21, 2013 wouldn't you be able to score from the opposite base...? Quote Share this post Link to post
Infinity Posted August 21, 2013 Maps like Onyx, Simplex, and Onslaught are too small to play Ricochet IMO. Needs a map like Pit, Skyline, or even Solace to play well. Quote Share this post Link to post
Ghostapple Posted August 21, 2013 what if theres a block in front/top of each base to keep from throwing accross map? EDIT: i actually tested it out just now and you cant throw it from base to base but its really easy to get in the court and score. probably not perfect but if you tweek it the map might work. and the block on each base is stupid. haha Quote Share this post Link to post
Sitri Posted August 21, 2013 Maps like Onyx, Simplex, and Onslaught are too small to play Ricochet IMO. Needs a map like Pit, Skyline, or even Solace to play well. We've been playing no-sprint Ricochet on Onyx. Despite it being a 3v3, it's so much fun. Quote Share this post Link to post
AkaDemiK Posted August 21, 2013 why onslaught? how about "ricochet on *brand new map*" 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Avak Posted August 21, 2013 Maps like Onyx, Simplex, and Onslaught are too small to play Ricochet IMO. Needs a map like Pit, Skyline, or even Solace to play well. The advantage of those maps are is you need to gain ground on the map before throwing it in, if you find the right spot and angle on maps such as Simplex you can just throw it in from your base. Haemorrhage Posted August 21, 2013 We've been playing no-sprint Ricochet on Onyx. Despite it being a 3v3, it's so much fun. what do you have the ball carrier speed set at? Quote Share this post Link to post
IKorlash Posted August 21, 2013 Maybe a map more developed than onslaught, but I could see 2-bases working okay. A throw from base-to-base can be anticipated, so somebody should be ready to block it. I could be dead wrong though. I would just love to see the basketball element in competitive play. Quote Share this post Link to post
makeitstop Posted August 21, 2013 why onslaught? how about "ricochet on *brand new map*" Yeah man, our forgers can make better new maps, why always bringing back old stuff? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sitri Posted August 21, 2013 what do you have the ball carrier speed set at? Unchanged, so 110 for sprint, 126 for no sprint. I changed it later in the night based on feedback to just 100%. Quote Share this post Link to post
Sitri Posted August 21, 2013 How about adrift? With or without throwing? You can set the Hoop and Endzone as different hills with their own traits. Quote Share this post Link to post
vavavoom Posted August 21, 2013 With or without throwing? You can set the Hoop and Endzone as different hills with their own traits. i dont know, havent played it but it was the first thing that came up in my mind. might be worth testing Quote Share this post Link to post
RyanW Posted August 21, 2013 With or without throwing? You can set the Hoop and Endzone as different hills with their own traits. So a 7 point end zone and a 3 point hoop? Quote Share this post Link to post

Haemorrhage Posted August 21, 2013 Maps like Onyx, Simplex, and Onslaught are too small to play Ricochet IMO. Needs a map like Pit, Skyline, or even Solace to play well. Simplex is about the same size as Pitfall and Skyline so it would be fine as well. Especially if you put the goals in the CTF flag stands because you would have to get pretty close to the base to throw it up for a field goal. Quote Share this post Link to post
RyanW Posted August 21, 2013 Pfft, 5 point end zone, 2 point hoop Could you have 2 different hills for a team where one is worth 5 and the other is worth 2? Quote Share this post Link to post

Infinity Posted August 21, 2013 Simplex is about the same size as Pitfall and Skyline lol Quote Share this post Link to post
Jinxer Posted August 22, 2013 For ricochet, you need a map that is fairly open, but not open enough to where you can throw it in from almost all corners of the map. Maps like the Pit, Sanctuary, Dispatch (maybe) etc. are good IMO Quote Share this post Link to post
