Anyone know how many teams were at so far? Team List is still showing the  ATL teams, not sure if no passes sold or AGL just hasn't updated their site.

Somebody please show up to AGL10 to give Cryptic some competition, Classic...Ambush, come on guys.  If not they'll walk away with the title.  In regards to the numerous posts stating these smaller events are a joke, I say BS.  Every one of these kids are competitors first and foremost.  Once they invest the $$$'s to get there the event means every bit as much as a 60-70 team event.

Did you not see how emotional Goofy was in SVR's comeback win against BTH.  Or Pistola, after going down early 3-0 in Simplex CTF ( I think that was the map), standing up and yelling, "We gave you hope, to crush your dreams".

The issue here really twofold, I agree the events need to be spaced out, which AGL has addressed.  But secondly even with the events being spaced out, AGL or somebody needs to find some corporate sponsorship or we will never see any real prize money being put up.

Seriously? You think Ambush winning a 14 team event means as much to them as winning a 60 team event at AGL Knox?

You honestly think Ambush enjoyed the win at AGL 9 over AGL 5, 7 and UMG Chicago? Competition is everything and these smaller events don't have as much competition.

A real event win is only when all the top teams are there, AGL Pitts, Atlanta and Sturgis are not seen as real events.

You got downarrowed three times, but with no explanation.  I'm curious, didn't they say exactly that?  That shuttles for $25 take you from the airport to the event center?

They did. They said it is a 40 min shuttle for $20-25 bucks or some s---. Which isn't that bad. Have no idea why people are downvoting.

everyone has been saying AGL needs to space out their events. I think they should also work w/ the top 4 teams to make sure they can make it out to the events

Classic should be going I believe. Chig And Mikwen are both in Michigan and a to2. I think there have been talks of Naded joining them but that is mostly speculation on my part.

I'm about 7 hours away in Southern Indiana, not in Michigan. We'll see about going, probably won't if it's not worth it.

Oh, I thought I read on Mikwen's twitter that you both were for sure going. I'll see if I can find what I am thinking of or if it is imaginary.

Edit: Found it, it seemed like you were for sure going based off of it. https://twitter.com/IMiKWeN/status/365692269438840832

Yeah I agree- I think the community needs to be educated about this.  However the other big problem is that it's a smaller airport which costs more.

Yes, I do think it means as much from this perspective.  Once you are at the event and competing you want to win, it does not matter the size of the event or the payout, you want to win period.

I'll say this, the grand finals at AGL10 were much more competitive that the grand finals at AGL9.

AGL 10 hasn't even happened yet... It's in September.

Everyone wants to win, yes, but it matters if the top teams are there. AGL 9 was a joke and you know it, there wasn't even a full, top team there, Ambush had Enable, SvR and BtH had mixed rosters, too. You can't say these smaller events mean as much as the bigger ones when there wasn't even a top 16 at Atlanta...

My bad, I meant the grand finals at AGL9 were more competitive than that of AGL8.

I certainly do not think AGL9 was a joke. Did it mean as much as the bigger events, of course not, but give the guys that competed there credit for the show they put on.

Are you stupid? AGL8 Finals were soooooo much better. Although Infamous choked pretty hard that made it that much better because it was even harder for Requiem to win. The finals at AGL9 were a 3-0 joke. That simplex flag game was the only decent game and it shouldn't have been that close in the first place. Smh

AGL8 was the most competitive H4 event yet. Requiem, SQ and Infamous all gave Ambush a good match for once especially considering they had just won 4 events on the bounce. AGL9 wasn't even close to that level of competition. Honestly can't tell if you're trolling or not.

I spent the last few days feeling bitter and cheated out of the entire situation that happened Game 5.  In the end, a decision had to be made for the series to continue.  All the momentum was taken from us after the "victory" causing us to drop the replay game to SvR.  There's tons of speculations/rumors/possibilities on what could of happened or did happen, but that's all there is on the subject.

The support was great afterwards and I hope it was an entertaining series to watch as it was to play.

I think you're about to see another attempted mass exodus to COD.  Formal just said in his stream that himself, Enable, Snake Bite are trying to go pro in COD Ghosts.  I believe Mikwen is attending the next MLG event to play COD.  Gandhi and Maven are playing COD.

Looks like most are expecting AGL to fall off.

It would be cool to see gandhi and maven commentate COD
