What does your ideal utility weapon look like?

Put down any important context.

- 3 Round Burst Weapon, preferably a BR.

- 4SK (12 bullets, 11 must connect to shields and the 12th must be a headshot).

-1000 Millisecond Flat TTK (Each individual bullet in each burst spaced out a bit, like Halo 3's BR).

- Hitscan.

- Zero Bullet Magnetism.

- Low Auto-Aim (about 2/5th that of Halo 3).

- H2A Style Scoped Reticle.

- Equal Auto-Aim When Scoped.

- ZERO Spread.

Hadn't thought about it much tbh. I guess 7? The killshot would do bleedthrough, so the shield would fully break on 4, and then 3 more? I could probably be talked into 6 but 8 feels unreasonable.

I was typing my post until I saw this and realised it is exactly what I want.

I was thinking about this the other day and I feel if they must have AR starts then they should make the "Secondary magnum" the exact same as the DMR and we'll see if the scrubbies notice.

I personally don’t mind a magnum, but then you have the whole bnet argument about how “a sidearm shouldn’t be that powerful”, and I’m just tired of dealing with it. We lose nothing by skinning it as a rifle to both sidestep that issue, and choke out any room in the sandbox for a redundant upgrade-weapon.

It’s not unreasonable that a “sidearm” breaks shields in 4 shots then kills in 4 more bodyshots.

Even at 4/7.  That’s a 1 second killtime with a headshot and a 2 second killtime with bodyshots which ain’t bad.  

More bodyshots to kill on the utility empowers both players and other weapons.  A player who is strafing and juking can tank bodyshots while dropping multiple opponents with headshots.  Other weapons become more useful because if you can’t land that final headshot with the utility then you might as well use a weapon that can kill with bodyshots faster than the utility.

The CE pistol with no spread and perhaps a kind of parabolic projectile speed - at close to medium range it should be effectively zero to barely even noticeable, but out to sniper range it should be considerably longer (not necessarily any longer than it currently is, just needs some tuning). This makes it possible to still harass snipers at the longest ranges without encouraging direct sniper-distance pistol battles which are just tedious and tiresome.

  • Halo 2 shotgun pellet levels of spread
  • Halo 2 PP levels of bullet magnetism... 50% of the time
  • When reloading, you throw your magazine like a throwing knife that kills instantly
  • Delete all other weapons except the AR, which will have a 600 shot magazine, double the spread of Magnum, but double the ROF (of the CE AR). Also, it aims itself.
  • In case someone ads a DMR to the game, turn the Magnum into a sniper rapid fire aimbot that instantly kills DMR users before reverting back to normal.
  • Can be charged to fire the pre-patch H4 boltshot shotgun blast.

3 shot magnum from ce but bullet always goes center of crosshair. 

br start for big team battle. low aim assist and bullet travel but no random spread. this would be good for people just wanting to have fun without getting sniped across the map with a pistol. this would replace any need for ar/smg start.
