I think y'all are letting bono's personal antics get in the way of objectively critiquing their music. Yes, bono is an annoying egotistical douche but god damnit the man can sing and he knows how to control a crowd. There are very few bands who can put on a better live show imo.

 

 

and they didn't become proggy dad rock until the 2000s. up until then they were more of a post punk band but i don't expect you to know that since your only exposure to the band is probably only the new shit they play on the radio or that episode of south park where they make fun of bono. go listen to the deep tracks of 'war' and then tell me it's dad rock

I really like Drake...but only specific songs and it makes me wish he would make an album with these song's specific sounds:

I'm not a musician, but I listen to a shit ton of progressive house music, trance, and other forms of dance/electronica and chill.

 

These three songs alone are fucking amazing from that point of view. I don't think Drake realizes that he could easily release an album that isn't about hardcore rapping or rapping in general...he has the talent to make chill-type music...almost like trip hop such as Massive Attack Mezzanine album, the song is Angel.

 

It's like when I'm listening to Drake...I only want to hear this type of sound from him...his other stuff just annoys me and disinterests me.

 

I think when he makes these songs...he sounds his best.
