Halo Championship Series 2018 Teams, Seeds, and Discussion‏

That's cool and they'll be a good as fuck God team probably but I feel like this happens with every hyped up CoD release. I remember this is exact sort of thing happening with "boots on the ground" CoD and no Halo Pro got very far in the end.

Enable and Formal?

saw lots say that about formal & enable

30 or so pros made the switch during the dark days of H4 ... two had success.  OG2 grinded CoD 16 hours per day and failed horribly.  More recently, Cratos, Suspector and friends were first-rounded in a giant open event for WW2.

I think it's fair to say that one player on Splyce Halo will end up being great at BO4 (my money is on Shotzzy) but that's a best-case scenario

Both your points are valid. However, no winner looks at his chances or the amount of people who failed before him.

Kuavo Kenny switched over after dedicating a ton of time to Halo and won several events. He also played huge at worlds!  Ogre2 (w/ Ace, Snipedown and Snakebite) did fine for his first run in CoD. They took games off the best teams in the world at the time.

i mean not every person is going to be able to make the switch but for people as talented as splyce who just show up and win events, its not out of the question. comparing them to cratos and that half hearted attempt  is just silly

Has anything like this ever happened before? One pro roster of the same people actively competing in two games at the same time?

mlg shadowrun fps was won by final boss. Walshy and the ogres. I dont remember if the 4th was the same

They were StK back then, and the roster was Walshy, Ogre 2, eXt, & OneEye.

Just Walsh and 2gre. I think another guy was oneEye, and I can’t remember the 4th but it wasn’t Dan.

Exactly this.  It's not that they can't be good.  To place inside the top 8, they'll all need to be exceptional at the game.  The likelihood of that happening is extremely small.  They'd each individually probably have a better chance of making top 8 if they joined an existing team.  I don't see it happening with all of them on the same team.  I'd love to be wrong though, and I'll always be rooting for Halo players to do well in whatever games they compete in.

This is correct. I forget OneEye's background, but eXt was a tester for the game and had like 3 years experience playing it before everyone else lol.

From an MLG Q&A with OneEye; "I got involved with StK quite randomly, I actually lucked out. I was friends with one of the former staff writers and he hooked me up to play with Ogre 2 and Walshy a little bit, and they thought I was pretty good. So I basically got lucky."

ah. I dont think two is enough to count as a team competiting in multiple games but still worth mentioning.

If they were looking to replace el town interesting that they wouldn't have gone with bound seeing how well they did in that 2k a while back with him subbing in.

Bound won't go to LANs. Also looks like Ace has replaced El town permanently according to Ace's stream.

Why?

Nobody really knows, like I'm sure some pros know but nothing that's public knowledge.

My guess is that's it's Ogre 1's kid and he's just not old enough to compete yet, but most people will probably think I'm ridiculous for thinking that.  :intel:  :kappa:

How’s everyone enjoying Black Ops 4?

Better than Black Ops 3, not as good as BO2 or BO1. Not a fan of how useless SMGs are (the ICR outguns them at point blank range and it only gets worse at longer range) or how omnipresent Specialist abilities are. Spawns are terrible and hit detection is different from game to game.
