Community reveal event. And hey, press can cheer too, we've seen it before when certain things have shown up/been announced.

Press can definitely cheer, I remember afew distinctly who were very excited for Kingdom Hearts 3. I just think it's considerably more rare, especially for a series that I feel 90% of the games journalism scene isn't too excited for.

Might be in the minority around here but I'm fairly excited for BO4. Typically COD multiplayer trailers are super gimmicky.

The "idea" of having to actively heal and learn spray control sounds promising.

BR mode was expected. Lets hope it isn't terrible.

The idea of learning spray is fine for PC.  But for Console anything that isn't a small, straight line (and even then) is just a chore.

For the love of god yes please.  EVERYBODY is doing this and other than specific hero shooters, i dont see anybody asking for it??

I still don't understand how the same guys who brought us two of the best Call of Duty games can fuck up this badly twice in a row. BO3, I get, "advanced movement" and heroes were the top 40 of the time it was in development, but how the fuck could they think people would want to play what is essentially a BO3 expansion pack.

Also, no campaign? Fuck that noise. Guess IW will still be the last CoD I ever purchase.

Whos buying COD for the campaign?

I haven't played a COD campaign since Ghosts. And I've purchased every COD game since COD4

BO4 looks good to me. Basically combined BO2 and BO3 and took out jetpacks. Idk what to expect from the BR mode but this is gonna be shooters now since Fortnite is a hit and biggest game since like ever.

I do. Campaign was the only reason I bought IW instead of waiting for MWR to be sold separately. It was the only reason I bought AW, Ghosts and BO3 as well (coincidentally, all of those games were AIDS MP-wise).

BO2 is the last good Call of Duty MP experience, unless you count MWR.

Mixing up BO2 and BO3 is ruining BO2, not improving BO3.

BO3 wasn't bad and was much better than the game that came after and before. And they took out the worse parts of BO3 which was the jetpacks/wall running.

Accidental neg, my bad.

They left in the specialists, "supers/ults" and all the super-futuristic bullshit. The jetpacks/wall-running were just one facet of BO3's mediocrity, not the cause.

It's actually funny that people here call Blops 3 bad lol. One of the best CoDs to come out especially in the last 5ish years. By far the best jetpack game too.

Same. CoD4 and MWR are the only CoD campaigns that I've ever gotten 100% completion on. It took a lot of willpower to beat Mile High Club on veteran again.

BO3 was the single worst thing to ever happen to Call of Duty. IW was trash because it was just an IW version of BO3. They took out jetpacks and wallrunning, but left in specialists, which is probably the dumbest thing ever added into Call of Duty. Not to mention that from a visual standpoint, it looks like nothing more than a DLC for BO3.

I mean at the end of the day, the game clearly isn't for me. That being said, if you think it looks good, more power to you, and I genuinely hope you love it.

The last five Call of Dutys (Ghosts, AW, BO3, IW and WWII) have all blown. Saying it's the best to come out in the last five years/the best jetpack game is like saying coming in first in the Special Olympics is a desirable life outcome.

BO4, we copied parts of R6 Siege and got rid of all that wall running and jet packs people hated.

the unique character seems to work well in r6:siege, but it also makes sense to have different classes there. it really doesnt fit cod though

Yea specialists are shitty, I agree with you there. But Jetpacks/wall running was the main knock on BO3 (at least to me and what i've seen). Them taking that out is a step in the right direction imo

imo jetpacks and wall running worked well in titanfall/2. the feature isnt the issue;  it comes down to overall game design

Titanfall was more of a double-jump and wallrunning though.  You couldn't really float like Bo3. I think that distinction is actually pretty huge gameplay wise.  Plus the sandbox was a little cleaner and the Pilot vs Titan dynamic could be pretty fun. No game on console has done "advanced mobility" better than TF1.

Other than launching right alongside both CoD and Battlefield, TF2 made the classic mistake of throwing in too much crap instead of just refining what was already there and adding a campaign.  Which for anybody that hasn't played it, the TF2 campaign was a really good shooter campaign.

Dude, Pilot vs Titan in TF1 was such a great dichotomy. I think they took a massive step back with the battery system in TF2. I never felt like I needed to use my Titan in TF1, and quite frankly, it was more useful to me as bait for other Titans/Pilots.

TF2's campaign was amazing, though. Minigun BT is best BT.

Yeah, the battery system made the Titans feel more papery and added a chore to using them.  You could keep them alive for a long time if you played like a bitch, but they still felt very un-tank-like.  I preferred the tougher, but one time use titans from TF1 for sure.  If they wanted to introduce a repair mechanism, i would have preferred something that you had to earn then could call in while in the titan.  Like a new orbital drop Titan arm.  Rip off the busted one, throw it to kill pilots or stagger enemy titans for a second, attach the new arm, gain 25% health back, go ham. Or a teammate could rodeo-ride and repair you mid-fight using spare parts from an on-titan kit worth say 50% health.  After that you couldn't get repaired anymore.
