LOL what?

Season pass has historically always meant "all DLC released for this game during its lifetime"

And yeah, the UI (or UX if your hip) is sorely lacking.  Why do i even have to back out to the main menu to change from ranked/social/warzone?

The "sometimes i'm going to reload when you switch menu's and sometimes i'm not" is annoying.  Selling and opening reqs is annoying.  it takes FOREVER.

AND the big one, for some reason whenever i try to create a custom game i can NEVER find the KotH or Oddball options in the default gametypes.  Not sure how such a simple UI glitch has gone this long without getting corrected....

I don't think its a technical skill issue as much as its a time management issue.  I remember watching "The Sprint" and they made a comment about "dont worry about the UI, we leave that for last".

Where i work (yeah i know its not game development but i fail to see how this particular concept wouldn't transfer) the UI is an iterative part of the whole process.  it kind of has to be so that it becomes a part of the testing process early and you can identify shit that doesn't work and still have time to improve it.

https://www.dualshockers.com/halo-wars-2-gets-new-patch-awakening-nightmare-launch-trailer-released/

"First and foremost, the patch adds two new maps, Mirage and Fissure, as well as a new Spectator Mode, which, as the name suggests, allows other players to watch custom matches. This mode will include a new HUD, as well as the ability to either follow specific players, or watch the match via a free cam.

Besides those new pieces of content, the patch also changes a number of different stats for certain items within the game.

In addition to the patch, a brand new trailer for the game’s newest expansion, Awakening the Nightmare, was also released showing off both a couple of pre-rendered cutscenes, as well as some gameplay from the expansion’s new modes and enemies.

Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare was officially released today, September 26, 2017, and costs $19.99. The expansion is not a part of the game’s season pass, meaning all players will have to spend a bit of extra money on it."

Did they actually add these modes to custom games?

EDIT: I thought we were talking about the customs browser for some reason. The reason KoTH or Oddball don't show up in customs is because they aren't official modes, just some slapped together shit from the Assault 'ball' gametype :/

Nah, I was just being a dick.  "UI Glitch" seems like a more acceptable answer than "We didn't make those".

Have you played the Halo 3 Oddball mode yet? Curious how that's looking.

Congrats. Now just work your way up the ranks, tweak whatever game you're working on until it plays like halo then we can all finally abandon ship.

formal playing H3 classic playlist GOGOOG

Does anybody else find this hard to watch because of the "Pulse" the BR does when it is scoped in?  It should just be static

I have yeah. It works correctly as far as i can tell and the announcer actually says "Oddball" so there's that...  I do wish the score to win was higher.  I loved those 250 second to win games back in H2.

its hard to play with radar, the 90% movement speed and screwey spawns though.  I know they were trying to emulate Halo 3 as much as possible, but given the state of the BR, leaving the movement speed at 100% would have been a better call.

Well, that and the fact that every one spawns with 2 mini-nuke, portable radar nades, which are obnoxious in all of the game types. Since all of the maps are scaled to novelty size for the pointlessly slow movement speed, you're pretty much guaranteed to be one shot, they know exactly where you are (and that you're one shot), they know that it will take forever for your shields to recharge, and if you move you show up on their giant motion sensor. And that's in the rare situation in which ONE grenade is thrown at a time instead of the usual 3 or more. It's even worse when everyone tends to chuck them directly at the ball carrier marker on their screen like in ball. These game types were apparently play-tested.

This is BIG. Well done 343 finally treating halo right putting some actual effort into their work  :simms:

Play-tested to best achieve the reaction: "Huh, maybe Halo 3 wasn't as good as I thought, Halo 5 is the better game."
