Sometimes but it usually takes them quite a few times for their fixes to be acceptable and do what they're suppose to. And dont forget it takes 343 forever and a half to do anything.

I mean do you remember in H4 how red death xs werent added to the game for 3-6 months after release AND it took 2 hotfixes to get them actually working after the initial update lmao.

343 has a nice long list of failed updates/fixes/patches like this, i just find this one the funniest.

"Hey, guys! We're bringing the hugely popular REQ system to the Master Chief Collection! Never say we don't listen to the community. haHAA

I know you dedicated fans who defend us on Twitter have been grinding this game since we totally fixed it, so we just wanted to give back to the community by letting you give us more money for this excellent, in no way embarrassing product. The MCC Denier's Gift update should be live some time in the future. We'll have more specifics on the release date whenever the hell we feel like it."

Just waiting till Phil Spencer disbands 343 and forms a new company, this company is fucked.

Not giving them a single penny now, even if halo 6 is good, I don't care, they forgot the MCC exists, and refuses to acknowledge its existence

sorry, no fun allowed

No,like a literal game mechanic.Double shot and quad shot would be alternate modes of fire. That way no one could complain about people "breaking" the rules.

People always find a way to complain about something that takes skill

A majority of late millennials and later onward always find a way to complain about something that takes skill

Fixed that for ya.  This whole idea of "everyone needs to be a winner" and "no child left behind" really fvcked up competitive FPS.

Games in general have gotten alot easier but it wasn't because of no child left behind or anything like that.Arcade video games were designed to steal money from people so they made the them as difficult as possible, the more difficult it was the more $ they made because after people beat the game they didn't replay it so you wanted them to constantly be chasing victory.Once games started moving away from arcades they gradually got easier.

I'm talking about console games.  NES games for example were made difficult because the content was much less, so they had to make the game more difficult.  You actually felt good about beating a game like Battletoads or Ninja Gaiden.  You beat a game now and you are just happy that it's finally over.

For FPS games, devs knew that if they catered to the entitlement mindset that they would sell more copies, so that is exactly what they did.  COD was made so that players could feel good about actually getting a kill or two a game.   What is going to sell copies and keep players playing?  A game like Halo CE, CS, Shadowrun or Quake where you are constantly getting owned as a new player, or a game like COD where you can actually get kills on players that are not new?  Why should devs make a game these days that doesn't conform to the instant gratification mindset when that is the type of game that will sell the most copies?  If we didn't have a majority of gamers today carrying this instant gratification mindset, maybe we'd get more games that actually take skill.
