> Makes best forge in Halo history

> Doesn't use any forge maps in HCS

They don't even have a community forge playlist.

Best forge in Halo history -> problem with forge (is this fixed?)

So many things in h5 have a lot of potential and then there's those 1 or 2 things that make it impossible to use/be good. So frustrating

This Faceit tournament for CSGO has music that sounds like the old MLG music and i love it lol

They also had a live DJ at the event between series for the live duduududdu

Five hour drive but it was an absolutely sick event, really quite an eye opener when that's your entry level 'major tournament'.

I will give 343 500 dollars to make FFA like HCS. I love FFA, but it's so hard to play with OP autos, radar, and just everyone camping.

Same goes for the "Halo takes soooooo much more skill than CoD" narrative.

Halo may not take more raw ability than CoD, but it's definitely true that competitive Halo is a more cerebral game, with a lot more going on strategically, than CoD.

So all we know about H6 is that it will have splitscreen, LAN, a Beta, and Master Chief is the main character again? Too be fair, those are all good things.

This is a terrible mindset,

We had 3/4 of those in halo 4 and needless to say that didn't turn out too well.

We know nothing about the multiplayer, very few on this forum (I am assuming) care about the campaign as this is a competitive multiplayer forum, therefore the main focus is on the multiplayer side, and we know NOTHING.

  • We do not know whether 343 are still deluding themselves into thinking advanced movement is the way forward. - Personally I think yet again they will follow others games and return us to classic halo. (there is far too much negative feedback regarding advanced movement for them to move forward, but more importantly COD is now going back to boots on the ground and if 343 wants to try and capture that audience it must also).

Edit:

if cod removed sprint I would bet my mortgage on 343 doing the same,

This is a pretty frustrating narrative to hear over and over and over and over again. the "CoD-ification" of Halo. I am not saying that this hasn't happened because it obviously has but the suggestion that it keeps getting worse or 343 will just "do as CoD does" just doesn't seem true.

Flinch, lack of descope, loadouts (weapons and abilities), supply drops. While some of those things were getting even worse in CoD, Halo removed them.

Halo 4 was a giant trend-chasing offender which will never be forgiven but if 343 were truly "chasing trends" past Halo 4, it would have gotten even worse. The problem as i see it now isn't that 343 is chasing trends, its that they are too afraid to really, truly cut out 100% of the fat that's been present since Reach.

Nah

They threw the fads of the day out there with h4. It was rejected.

Then they simply swapped out those fads for the new fads of the day.

This is why people assume h6 will ditch "advanced movement" and replace it with whatever the new fad is. Heroes, loot shooter, MOBA esque mechanics, survival game modes, etc.

i thought it was confirmed that halo 6 will be built off the mechanics of halo 5. if 343 wants to change direction like that then this will either take another 2 years to push the game or they will rush a broken mess again. neither option is anywhere near ideal

343 is BLATANTLY CHASING TRENDS they tried to capture the battlefield audience with warzone ffs.

Sprint is still in the game because apparently gamer's think games without it are far too slow. And i thought one developer (could be wrong) said they were trying to capture audiences from a different games.

So you see I find it hard to accept your point, halo has been butchered and rebuilt into this monstrosity because 343 is deliberately chasing other games audiences.

And how best do they do that? By building a game with similar mechanics, gameplay or modes.

It is all I am clinging to, I will be devastated if they now decide to buck the trend.

Slight over dramatization but you catch my drift.

"Halo 5's core MP is a thing that would be refined and tuned in the future, not rebooted, reinvented or reset. That doesn't preclude any number of improvements, additions or completely new modes and methods of play, but the team does recognize the core strengths, advantages and extensibility of the current MP tune."
