Well Trump is getting blown out by a whistleblower claiming that he was going to grant favors to a foreign power.

But I'm sure this is just the 3,756th conspiracy by the deep state to make Trump look bad.

You mean favors like Biden withholding $1B in aid to Ukraine unless his son's prosecutor is fired?

Yang is right. The replies to this tweet are wrong. People will tolerate anything but a critique of their own lifestyles.

Wonder how much of China's pollution is directly releated to the United States consumption. A la "Not shitting where you eat".

Also shocking how when other countries exit 2nd and 3rd world status and try to get to first world, CO2 emissions go up. Same exact shit happened with the States, Great Britian, etc. China and India on a much bigger scale since you know, much more people per captia.

I'm sure US consumption is a big factor. Not to mention shipping products across the Pacific, which is all the more reason to bring manufacturing back to the US.

Trump brings up "Crowdstrike" ecl5cf810ro31.jpg

Speaking of Crowdstrike, remember when the DNC hired them to investigate Hillary's server? 1fhezx2hlso31.png

Why was an independent contractor (paid for by the DNC) the one doing the investigating? 8baa.png

Oh I see we're still going on about Seth Rich, that's nice.

Meanwhile...

“I want to know who’s the person, who’s the person who gave the whistle-blower the information? Because that’s close to a spy,” he continued. “You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart? Right? The spies and treason, we used to handle it a little differently than we do now.”

The replies are fucking weird. He is simply saying that we need to give families better tools to make the best choices for them.  He is in no way advocating for state censorship or anything.  Edit: A lot of "slippery slope" arguments in there.  I fucking hate slippery slope arguments.  They are almost always a cop out for people that don't have legit counterpoints.

Doesn't matter.  Reduced emissions doesn't mean we're doing a good job. and that only shows a change in emissions, not emissions totals.  Globally this shit is fucked up.  America needs to invest in nuclear heavily.  Most of the dems are living in a pipe dream thinking they can get it done with wind, solar and hydro.  All of which would have massive negative effects on a variety of ecosystems if they were build out to the capacity we actually need.  Nuclear generates a lot more power in a much smaller footprint.  iirc, that drop in European emissions is mostly from France and Germany with their carbon free electric grids. Because they switched a large part to nuclear, they were able to do it quickly. We need to lead on this.  Drop our emissions like a rock and sell our technology to all these other countries.

Unfortunately this is the only thing he could be advocating for, otherwise it's a completely empty statement. How aren't parents currently empowered to prevent their kids from looking at porn? Anyone with minor computer knowledge can set up filters to block NSFW websites, or they can pay someone to set it up or even ask your ISP to block it, and it's idiotically easy to limit kids' computer/net access to a predetermined schedule, including mobile devices.

If that sounds like sheltering the living piss out of a kid, well...it is. Pretty sure most parents just don't see it as a problem.

As far as the slippery slope part, it's not about what the action will logically justify (that's NEVER the issue). It's about what the anti-porn brigade will feasibly be able to get away with next.

I think you overestimate the average humans awareness or ability to regulate those things.  I have tried it with the tools that my ISP gives me and... its not that easy or accurate. Ended up just going with my own shit. But I QA software for a living so its nbd but most people are fucking troglodytes. idk, i have been following his campaign and twitter for a while and i just didn't see that as a legit policy proposal, just a thought on parenting.  Maybe im wrong.

The "Get away with next" piece of the slippery slope argument i guess makes sense. Like who is going to find the loopholes and abuse them.  But i see most of that as coming from the fact that most of the people writing out laws, don't even know the first thing they are writing the laws about. Like gun control for example, if they want to actually have  a proper discussion they need to get away from the "AR-15 is evil" or "AR-15 is our RIGHT" and actually have a science class about ballistics. But they won't because the right wants their guns and are paranoid about the slippery slope and the left wants their pound of flesh. It doesn't make the slippery slope argument legit to me though, it just shines a light on how terrible most of our leaders are and how our elective process is relative dogshit.  People have such a distrust of the government since they generally seem to have no idea what they are doing and are not actually working in the best interest of the citizens.  Thats really the only thing that gives any legitimacy to the slippery slope argument which is fucking sad, but well earned. I basically choose to not let that drive my decisions because then the paranoia wouldn't let me choose anything at all.

Why are you ignoring the fact that the DNC was paying Crowdstrike? Why was the FBI not allowed to look at the server? Why is Hillary's server in Ukraine?
