Ultimately corporations can not pay less than people are willing to work for.

Beyond that, a higher minimum wage would do nothing but raise prices (largely offsetting that pay increase) and give an unfair advantage to big businesses over small ones.

The last part is definitely true. The first part I'm no so sure of. If the majority of jobs are through corporations and they could pay whatever they want, people won't have a choice.  There aren't a lot of small businesses especially in urban areas where poverty is a problem.

We did, that's one of the reasons we elected Trump.

One of Trump’s least truthful tweets.

The Democrat party literally has never been great.

I know. It has always sucked. Liberals/leftists/anarchists are dummies. No logic. No common sense. No brain.

Even Democrats know the DNC is corrupt as hell.

The really ugly member of "The Squad" just called for a $20/hr minimum wage.  Why stop there?  Let's go for $25.

Let's make it 100 / hour and invest everything we have into automation manufacturers.

Bernie gets 5 hours of sleep when Labour activists have historically fought for 8. What's the point?

You stop there because the wage is inclusive enough for everyone with a job to participate in society without inflation. That's why you stop.

"The Squad" actually has an economic plan and framework unlike the rest of the cuntry

The Waltons make $25,149 a minute, (which is more than a full time 40 hour a week walmart worker makes in a year) and thats only a couple billionaires. Yet you're so outraged that an average american would get a few bucks more an hour. Oh no.

Hope automation comes much sooner rather than later, takes your job regardless since robots will do everything more efficiently than humans do, then you'll actually understand what we're dealing with here. Billionaires want to turn to automation anyway, regardless if minumum wage goes up or not, because they want to maximize profits and production...Which again robots will eventually do better in every way anyway. You have to be stupid to think that if minimum wage is low that they'll stear clear from automation, because they won't. Just puts more money into their pockets AND they get to setup automation too to fuck everyone.

So yeah, investing in automation is a great idea and increasing minimum wage does nothing other than make automation / inflation progress even faster.

Thx for your reply.

You're rather clueless on how exponential technology works, raising minimum wage does absolutely nothing to "speed up the process" because the process is quick anyway. They know the endgame is that robots > people in money, production, etc.

Also to guarentee this happens at a fast pace what happens if lets say China wins the AI game? Then they unlock the money at the end of the rainbow first  and completely dominate the market for good. So every country is going full speed trying to be the first one to fully capitalize on automation.

Now you can argue what should happen in that situation for instance Universal Income should be a major factor, but I wouldnt be shocked if the morons i.e. Republicans argue that they should not have jobs and just starve to death because Billionaires "earned it" and "omg isnt that socialism?".

But again, being outraged that people should be paid more, average americans, when the billionaires are completely fine to begin with and are already taking advantage of automation (self-checkout at a grocery store, for instance) is laughable.

Secondly, why am I not shocked it was all republicans and 1 independent (former republican) who voted no to pay for the health costs of the 9/11 responders...

Soulless ghouls may be an understatement.

Moron over here thinks firms are being nice to workers by keeping them on instead of just fucking lowering their costs where they can by automating.

Brain genius over here
