Can’t do anything as a progressive when your party is full of corporate democrat shills. In his state he’s done a lot however.

But yeah if you look at his voting record it’s pretty damn good. Maybe not for you but him opposing the Iraq war when a vast majority wanted it is pretty awesome.

If I look at his voting record and it's not good for me then I can't say he has a good voting record lol

Saddam was a good guy, it's a shame we killed him.

So you are basing a 30+ year career on only two separate votes?

Do you know who else opposed the invasion of Iraq?

The sitting President.

I mean his votes speak for themselves. He actually marched and got arrested for civil rights. He's accomplished alot for his career. Almost not a single instance of flip flopping. Supported gay rights even in a time where a majority of this country didn't want them to have it. Not sure where your "He has done nothing in 30 years" came from other than the fact it's been some false narrative pushed by republicans. It's the exact same shit with him being a millionaire finally after 30 years in office people slam him for that, however it's a no win scenario because if he was only making 200k people would be pushing the narrative "lol poor broke old man wants to make everyone poor like him". He's "rich" (1/5000th of donald trumps claimed wealth btw) and people say "wow MILLIONAIRE 3 houses absolute hack". No. Win. Scenario. Poorest senator in office should speak volumes considering 99.9% of people in that position wouldn't give a single fuck and would sell your rights to make that bank, and they already have. He makes a million off of just selling a book on the backend of his career almost pushing 80 automatic phony!!!!!

It just truly is so perplexing how these words, narratives twist. He wants to give every worker that works 40 hours a week a livable wage, unacceptable!!! Health coverage...unacceptable!!! Wanting to unionize workers...commy socialist! People should be fucked over by big corps! Corps have feelings too!

There is no such thing as a livable wage for unskilled jobs.  Period.

If a company has to pay their wokers more money they will raise their prices and we will be in the exact same scenario we are now.  Making $15 bucks an hour means nothing if the cost of living goes up accordingly.

Why people like you refuse to accept that is very confusing.

As far as Bernie goes, I will give him credit that he has been consistent on his views over the years, no matter how foolish many of them are.

"Only making 200k".  You are so uninformed you don't even know that a Senator doesn't even make 200k/year.

30 years in office and all he has to show for it are a few failed votes, being the same person he convinced mental midgets like yourself to hate and proposing ideas that are so absurd they will thankfully never happen.

Oh, let's not forget the bills that he has proposed that have passed.  Out of his 324 bills that he proposed, 3 have passed.  Now what are these amazing things he did?

Renaming 2 post offices.  What a great accomplishment for being in congress for over 30 years.

Oh ok, so people 30 years ago could just support their family off one job no problem but that same job now is labeled as unskilled as fuck lmfao. Your parents/grandparents probably had those unskilled jobs and somehow managed to make it work huh? How come you can't do that now? Odd how that works. Keep defending those billionaires man.

btw off google:

Most senators and representatives make an annual salary of $174,000. Those in leadership make a bit more. For example, the speaker of the House makes $223,500 and majority and minority leaders in the House and Senate make $193,400

So 174k, not 200k. My bad dude. You're fun at parties. Makes you wonder how all of them become multi millionaires so quickly in office. Such a strange thing considering their yearly salaries don't even eclipse a quarter million.

Also passing bills is hard when you're a senator/house of representative and your ideals are 25 years ahead of your constituents. Only now you're seeing the likes of Elizabeth Warren and others rise in the democratic party because people are really starting to get fed up with corporations and what Bernie has been preaching for decades has come to fruition. Can't pass bills when you're a. a lonesome senator in a room of corporate lobbied shills and b. when your own party considers your ideals "too far left" and essentially ignores what you say when in reality, for instance, 70% of america supports universal healthcare and that's labeled as a "radical idea" in our government when 70 PERCENT of the people of the United States support it. Thought the governments main function was to fulfil the needs and interests of the citizens? But I digress. Wars in other countries instead! Then say it's too expensive to get UH!

Shit pay on 40 hour/week jobs that used to make ends meet, now don't? Corps getting all time high profits, CEO all time high salaries? It used to be a CEO made 20x-30x a regular employee, now it's more like 1000x, see the problem here? I really don't get it. Every day these corps are moving the boundries as to how they can fuck you over monetarily...and yet, it's perfectly ok. If actual people wanted to move the boundry in terms of better work conditions, better pay, etc. It's absolute fucking taboo nowadays. Yet looking at the recipts people are getting absolutely fucked, and you're ok with that. L oh fucking L.

Proposing ideas that are so absurd that it will never pass, ah yes the consevative mindset. 20 years ago if I said Marijuana laws would pass my state people would laugh me out of the room. It passed. Other things will eventually fall in line as well such as universal health care, better wages, etc. Just takes time and you need an actual progressive as president.

Bernie's couldn't even stand up for himself when he got the nomination stolen from him, what makes you think he'll stand up to these corporations? Bernie is a plant, used to solicit donations from idiots like you because without him the DNC would go broke.

Bernie is a plant, hence why every news corp shits on him mercilessly for no reason! From CNN, to Fox, to MSNBC, etc. Lmao you can't honestly believe that bullshit you just said now? Was he planted in the Civil Rights movement too? The DNC's roots of planting go that far???? What am I reading right now.

Also isnt it customary to endorse the nominated person? He still gets heat to this day because apparently he didn't immediately support Hillary and gets blamed for handing the election to trump because of it. Lose/lose situation. You don't endorse hillary, she loses, trump wins, you get flamed for the rest of your career because of it and well Trump gets elected! You endorse Hillary and understandibly another shit canidate but at least a little bit better than Trump (You won't agree with this, I don't care). Plus you still have a tiny bit of good standing with the Democratic Party support even though they hate you... which unfortunately is needed to win an election in a 2 party system.

So to recap, bernies options were:

A. Not endorse Hillary, which would most certainly seal the deal for Trump, get blamed forever for it, and the DNC would probably never support him ever again no matter what. No secret here at the very least Bernie's ideals are closer to Hillary's than Trumps, but thats like the Earth being closer to Neptune than to Pluto, it's a joke. That's the hand you're dealt. But still, if chosen to travel to one place or another you'd still rather pick the closer Neptune. In his case, the elected candidate for the Democratic Party.

B. Endorse Hillary, which makes Trump losing more likely, much less blame for loss of election (should be none but some Hillary voters are dumb as rocks), and the DNC doesn't shadowban you for not endorsing the winning candidate.

All of this really didn't matter anyway,  Trump won because Hillary didn't campaign in the borderline states and was probably the absolute worst candidate possible the Dems could have chosen and shilled for. But yeah any person on this planet would have chosen option B if they wanted to run again, because option A just essentially guarentees your political opponent on the opposing end wins outright because those "hardcore" Bernie fans would be much less likely to vote for Hillary if Bernie himself said "yeah lol nah fuck this Hillary is bad", and what little respect the DNC had for you to begin with vanishes completely and you'll have zero shot winning running as an independant in a 2 party system. Any person not understanding these simple concepts is a dolt, yes including the people in that youtube comment section, irregardless if they're a bernie supporter (probably former now since they cannot think as to why this possibly happened and they just mindlessly word vomit 'lol sellout') or not.

Bernie Sanders took his Honeymoon to the USSR during the Cold War. Totally normal, totally fine.

Also, technically Cruz never endorsed Trump.

Was that before or after Trump tried to build and invest a literal tower there?
