Shrinking human population won't stop our use of gravely bad resources that affect our planet, alongside our expansion. Both have happened irregardless of how high or low our population's been. Granted, it slows it by circumstance, but prior to the (relative) massive shift in population, things like CFCs still royally fucked our atmosphere. As did/do the use of fossil fuels. We can slow climate change (Basically impossible to stop, now, lol) by making harder pushes for safer energy use, being more efficient with it, and also making use of the areas we have now, over expanding into new, unneeded areas unless absolutely necessary.

Man, imagine a world where we didn't have rows upon rows of individual houses that could store one family, but multiple rows of 2-3 story apartments that could store multiple families. So we don't waste our space.

Imagine a world where bumblebees aren't endangered. Whew.

Weird thinking the generation born around 1980-1990-2000 will probably be the last to live a normal, full life because of this stuff. Have fun 2010s and beyond, lmao. Fucking scammed.

You are depressing

Imagining living on top of people in apartments like ants?

“Store” families? Like on a grocery shelf?

Climate change was to bring parts of Florida under water years ago . How’s that working for you?

You aren’t by chance a college student are you?

I apologize for being a pill but geez.........

It depends of what your definition of morals is. Democrats are the party of crime, drugs, high taxes, open borders, open trade, weak military, homelessness, anti-Ice, anti-police, socialism, and pretty much anything anarchy if you sum all of those up. If that is where your morals are, vote for the democrat in 2020. I consider myself as someone with high morals that are at odds with everything the democratic party stands for. I want to protect our border, lower taxes, have fair trade, support ICE and our police, have an America first agenda, jobs created for real Americans, and not give billions of dollars to countries that hate us. My morals are right in line with Trump's agenda, so yeah, I will be voting Donald J. Trump for President again in 2020, with an iron fist.

hahahahahahahhhhhhhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The delusion is just off the charts. Dear lord.

Depressing, from a certain point of view. I consider myself more of a realist. Shit's pretty bleak for the planet and a lot of its life, currently. Not really rainbows. And I'd bet extremist, non-peer reviewed scare mongers said parts of Florida were to be under water years ago. Not, yunno, actual scientists. Which have mostly spoken on climate change's unseen effects, such as extreme weather and some subsequent collapses in ecosystems because animals can't live in said environments properly anymore due to rapid (Geologic) change. I don't think anyone's realistically said coastlines would be flooded soon, or at least, those viewpoints have been revised (Ayo, science).

And yeah, my choice of words being "storing families" is kinda dark, lmao. But it'd be space efficient and if done right, luxurious. Doesn't need to be a bleak scenario, just a proper one to accommodate for the rapid inflation in population without gutting our planet's ecosystems and habitats. You could swing with the other extreme of rounding up a majority of the population and gunning them down, maybe by popular vote, lmao. Which would actually fix the issue faster and without wasting time reconstructing houses to possess multiple floors. No, I'm not unironically supporting genocide. It's hyperbole.

Of course, the prior only works from the onset, because adapting to it later only serves to push out more emissions, lol.

And no, not going to college. What a waste of time and money.

Renewable energy and striving for efficiency are musts, but no amount of green energy is going to subsidize over population. Living in an overcrowded, noisy apartment complex is not my idea of living a full life and doubt that it is yours either. And even if everyone lived in apartments, eventually those will be filled and more apartments, which means more expansion would need to take place at some point for our ever growing population. It reminds me of how I hear people complain that they should add more lanes on the highway because of traffic congestion. All that is going to do is invite even more people to move here and more expansion. Look at Los Angeles and all it's highway lanes, yet the worst traffic in the world.

Oh, yeah, it's why I said the plan was faulty in terms of expenses later. Since we'd just be building more and more, it'd just be a matter of space management compared to now, lol. Although, I disagree with the idea it'd be noisy or overcrowded given apartments now can be filled to capacity and still quiet. I'd guess it'd vary by population/social norms, but here at least, it's great.

The President of the United States routinely proving that he cannot spell simple words is deserving of daily mockery for four straight years. It is unacceptable, it is mortifying, and worst of all it's done with a disgustingly undeserved smugness. Regardless, Democrats will not be going to the polls in 2020 with "smocking" on their mind. Both sides are not the same.

Well in my view I find it hilarious because grown adults are getting worked up over spelling mistakes on twitter that are in all likelihood intentional. It's entertaining to see people spending energy worrying about that stuff. The reaction from the mainstream media that Trump knows he gets every time has to make it hard to hold back. On the other side of the coin, let's say the mistakes are due to Trump's inability to spell, then at least we know he's the one communicating with us over social media. I can't remember the last time I heard a president speak their own words and thoughts to the public. It's nice to have a president that isn't a robot. While spelling mistakes look dumb, they can actually tell us quite a bit. Plus, how many times has autocorrect screwed you over before? I know we're all victims. What I'm saying is there are more options beyond the standard "because he's a moron" fare.

I don't.

Because if you are a moral human being, there is literally no reason in this current period to 1) vote Republican, and more pressingly 2) vote for a man like Donald fucking Trump - the former because Democrats have been slightly left-of-center at best (they also don't make anti-intellectualism a campaign platform) and the latter because voting for a person like Trump is a cornucopia of hypocrisy right out of the gate, nevermind a continuation of Republicans' most cherished pastime of shooting themselves in the foot.

Hmm. All of your reasoning here is based on optics, not policy that could prove beneficial to the country (ie the most important thing to vote for). I'm no ally of the republican party but to claim moral people have no reason to vote republican is insanely wrong. There are good moral arguments for and against both parties, and anti-intellectualism exists on both sides as well. There's no such thing as an intellectual political party in the US, no matter how many college degrees one has over the other or whatever your metric is. As far as hypocrisy goes, Trump has mostly been doing what he said he would do if elected, so I don't see your angle here. This administration is surprisingly transparent compared to previous ones and the general public sees this.

Name me 3 immoral main policies the republican party stands for and 3 moral main policies the democratic party stands for, please avoid generic responses like "freedom" or "racism", specificity is what I'm looking for. I'm assuming here that you're insinuating the democratic party is the moral choice, I apologize if that's incorrect.

I said nothing about campaign strategy directly involving Nazis (although Klansmen are apparently not off the table). I said that Trump did what Republicans were careful not to do - because they, unlike him, actually are smart - which was toss the locus of discourse completely off the deep end and let Republicans at large bare their shonen-style final forms as raving xenophobes, instead of dressing their bigotry up in clever disguises like "bootstraps". The consequence of this is that now the right wing fringe got their foot in the door and are well-platformed just barely below the surface, absolutely tanking the political atmosphere of this country. All because Donnie "tells it like it is".

You're avoiding specifics. What specifically enables Nazis? Border policy? Travel bans? Trump is just outspoken and honest? I can't do much with allusions.

Because they lobby. Almost exclusively for bad shit.

You keep leaving me hanging dawg, you can't just tell me rich people are evil and they're evil because they lobby for pretty much only bad shit. You know me and you know that doesn't satisfy someone like me lol.

The truth that the elites have kept hidden by using MSM to convince you of a reality and shame you into accepting/embracing a reality in which the most horrible crimes against America are nothing but a conspiracy theory pushed by lunatics and that the MSM is there to save you back into your safe place. When the truth comes out, POTUS will look like Moses freeing the American people from their slave masters.

Do you want the truth? Can you handle the truth? The truth will surprise you; things that haven't even occurred to you yet; things that make it difficult to sleep at night.

As I said several weeks ago, the order was given to begin unsealing indictments and declassifying crimes by the FBI/DOJ/CIA/DeepState - now the truth will begin to come out to the public.

If you believed what you are telling me right now, you wouldn't be posting it on a public internet forum. Thanks for the heads up though Mr. 4chan.

I don't think people know the president can declassify whatever he wants, whenever he wants.

Good moral argument for Republicans is school choice. 1/5 black women didn't vote for Gillam in Florida do to his opposition to school choice. You can't be pro diversity then tell black kids that they have to go to black schools in the ghetto. Makes no sense and is due to evil teachers unions lobbying Democrats.

Doesn't bode well for Trump. I doubt he will get impeached but he might be prosecuted after his presidency.

I'd rather trump lose an election than get impeached. If he gets impeached any and all criticisms of his time as president will be deflected by morons as being the fault of Democrats blocking him.

Dude...it's the Presidency, the executor of the most powerful country in the world. Far, far before we need someone "real", we need someone who isn't a complete mental cripple. Sweet actual Jesus.

Again, the Democratic party - not voters, but the politicians - have been exceedingly centrist for the past couple of decades, epitomized no more strongly through Hillary Clinton who is cozy with Wall Street and decidedly hawkish. Faced with the choice between her and Trump, a Republican (that is to say, a person who allies with the supposed party of Christian values and bootstraps) choosing Trump is an unambiguous broadcasting of shitty ulterior motives that have less than nothing to do with policy. As far as anti-intellectualism on both sides, there is a massive difference between being mistaken on some things, or even a lot of things, and eschewing the entire concept of being learned. Which side constantly rails against the "academic elite", again?

For Trump being a hypocrite himself, well you could take a walk through /r/TrumpCriticizesTrump or look at certain things like Trump pretending to care about LGBT causes and then making Mike "Christian Sharia" Pence his VP and passing various anti-LGBT pieces of legislation, and as far as this administration being transparent, well this literally just happened, making that the seventh conviction - not indictment, but conviction - of the Trump administration so far (bonus: conservative media is complicit).

So.

I'm not here to defend the DNC. As far as Republicans, they're anti-LGBT, pro-corporatist, and anti-environment. There's three things off the top of my head.

If I need to actually list examples to convince anyone of this, I'm going to call bad-faith and politely make my exit. I'd sooner spend my time explaining radiometric dating to creationists.

You're avoiding specifics. What specifically enables Nazis? Border policy? Travel bans? Trump is just outspoken and honest? I can't do much with allusions.

I don't know, maybe things like when an actual Nazi runs over a protester and kills her, and Trump says "there are good people on both sides".

You keep leaving me hanging dawg, you can't just tell me rich people are evil and they're evil because they lobby for pretty much only bad shit. You know me and you know that doesn't satisfy someone like me lol.

Explain why net neutrality was axed with 83% of people were for it.

Surely...surely it wasn't the $80-100 million telecom lobby that was responsible.

School choice is a euphemism for privatizing education thereby enforcing for profit education and pro market values onto the population, forcing kids to go through religious schools that have rights to discriminate and attack freedom of speech or worse, be home schooled by prager university on youtube.

Only a brainwashed class cuck can think any union short of police unions are evil.

1. Who said it had to be religious schools?

2. Why should kids be forced to attend failing schools?

3. Why are teachers unions that prevent terrible teachers from being fired a good things?
