Even if he did do it on purpose, it's stupid when you consider that he gloats about how much of a "genius" he is. And no, bad press isn't necessary good press when you need independent voters to win elections. The man should stay off of Twitter.

Like I said, the negative press helped him win the election because the mainstream media reaction to him is almost always outlandish and lots of people recognize it. That makes it a smart strategy to continue spelling words in funny ways because the media will flip its lid and continue looking extremely petty throughout the process. Stop falling for the bait and the bait will change form, you'll see the spelling errors fade away. Pretty simple game, imo.

I honestly think Hillary is why Trump won.

Anyway one of the biggest stereotypes of Republicans is that they are stupid. I don't see how doing things that appear stupid is a good thing. I don't consider it trolling when you play into the prejudices of the opposition.

The things he does make the opposition look stupid, I think that's the point. The democrat's platform right now is anti-Trump everything with an undercurrent of democratic socialism, which is borderline political suicide.

Yeah Hillary is a huge reason Trump won and there's nobody to replace her that can compete in 2020, imo. The only thing that will save the democratic run in two years is anti-Trump sentiment and continued voter fraud (both sides do it). Their candidate will just be a default player wearing a blue outfit. From a game theory standpoint, the democratic party is struggling to keep up because they're the current party of reaction instead of action. Virtue signaling can't be your go to play call. These parties need to work together better and that will make both of them more electable, but they'd rather oppose everything the other party does and that's bad for the health of the country.

I agree with this. She reminds me of Bernie. Says things nobody else will that I agree with. Horseshoe theory is definitely real.

I can agree with some of the first part. Although the Republicans were doing much of what the Dems are doing now when Obama was in office. For 8 years they cried about the budget(which is right wing virtue signaling if you think about it), and now are blowing it up at the same level Obama did.

For the rest of the post that's just politics. It's always been that way. If you try to work together it's considered weak and traitorous by the party base. Of course it would be good for the country if everybody got along, but it ain't gonna happen.

Yeah it goes both ways. My strategy is to vote against the motion of the political pendulum because both ends result in the loss of basic human rights and decency. I believe in championing policies that are best to maintain the country; nationalism allows cohesion across personal differences (not that this doesn't mean extreme or militaristic nationalism). Both political parties should position themselves to maintain the country instead of what we have now where the only prop up themselves. Whatever though, nobody cares about my political strategies lol.

Don't sweat the neg, I'm used to em.

...Although, what motive would he have bar personal entertainment when it's still bad press...

He’s kept you off balance hasn’t he?

Art of war.

(And he is absolutely at war in the most literal sense.)

No one here knows what smocking means?

The more you know...

If you think he purposefully misspelled "smoking" twice you are probably dumber than him.

Either that or you're smoking some good shit.

This is being disingenuous. The left-leaning media didn't take "covfefe" and run with it as a soundbyte for the 2018 midterms, and Trump isn't that smart regardless.

No. This is a fallacy. People try to look into completely stupid shit and try to justify it being something more than it is. Almost like it's so stupid that it's not possible so therefore genius!

The dude genuinely cannot spell smoking and it's an insult to humanity that people really think he's just trolling.

Nothing quite like using the twitter platform to secretly connect with the illuminati through word code within a quantum brain physics game of 17d zero gravity mind chess.

The man in a genius.

Say what? I never claimed they took that for the midterms, I said they overreact to him too much. That's easily apparent almost 24/7 if you watch or read mainstream media. Whether or not you think Trump is smart is irrelevant next to what he's accomplished in his life, which you're welcome to downplay all you want. He has made good plays and bad plays, but so far mostly good plays. Getting people to worry if he's dumb or not is a good play because his opposition is more concerned with his spelling and grammar than getting their own party to put together a viable platform for the next election. It's misdirection and it's working because again, the left is being too reactionary, which is a bad play given the state of their party.

Your statement was about people falling for Trump's act and the media running wild with superficial issues surrounding him. They aren't and they haven't.

And it does not take intelligence to appeal to the worst characteristics of the lowest common denominator. It takes a distinct lack of a human soul and a complete disregard for the consequences.

How have they not ran wild with superficial issues? Google "smocking" and watch any news channel that isn't fox, you'll hear about it. It's petty overreaction to irrelevant things. It certainly isn't leadership, which the left needs badly right now.

Could you clarify the rest of your post for me? It's pretty inflammatory for a normally rational mind like yours. Who is the lowest common denominator? What consequences? Etc. Thanks.

A few days of mockery isn't "running wild".

What Fox News did with the nothing-burger of Hillary's emails, that was running wild. (Also thanks again Comey, you stupid fuckstick)

Anyone who falls for caustic tribalist bullshit (a.k.a. the entire Republican constituency, save for the rich who are just evil), and the consequences of throwing the political baby out with the bathwater and, oh say for example, emboldening actual literal Nazis into thinking they have an equal platform in this country.

A few days of dedicated coverage is still petty overreaction, maybe "running wild" is exaggerated slightly, but you clearly understand my point. I also think the "Trump is stupid" stuff easily qualifies as caustic tribalist bullshit and it's perpetuated daily. Outrage is a packaged product today so you need to monitor your daily consumption.

Calling out the entire republican voter base is a bit of a stretch, no? That's a broad brush and I think you're wielding it too boldly. Also, appealing to nazis is a terrible political strategy because they are such a small population in the country. Nobody cares about getting nazis to support them nor designs policies specifically to appeal to them. Honestly would like to know why you're bringing them up.

The rich are evil? How so?

Also, please clarify your bathwater statement. I asked you to explain what you meant and you used more figures of speech instead.
