By what mechanism does the retention of more heat by a system cause it to have abnormally large dips in temperature? Please be specific.

Uncharacteristically cold winters, however, just might be one of the most hard felt effects of climate change, according to a study published in Nature Geoscience by a team of researchers.

The study found that unusually cold temperatures in northern North America and lower precipitation in the south central U.S. all coincided with periods of warmer Arctic weather. “Warm temperatures in the Arctic cause the jet stream to take these wild swings, and when it swings farther south, that causes cold air to reach farther south. These swings tend to hang around for awhile, so the weather we have in the eastern United States, whether it’s cold or warm, tends to stay with us longer,"

Interesting, I was wondering if it was jet-stream related. The paper found the opposite correlation for the western US so I recommend being more careful with your absolutes when your qualifying statements are so vague. Thanks for the link.

Or u can just google this shit yourself, really not that difficult lol.

Maybe he was speaking to you in an absolute because climate change essentially is an absolute at this point, and you’d have to be some degenerate science denier to think otherwise...

Maybe I'm more interested in why people think what they think. What makes you so certain climate change is an absolute?

It's college educated, middle class individuals doing the protesting. And most of them are just pissed that they got conned into dropping 60k for gender studies degrees. (Obama federally backing student loans cough, cough) You make it sound like homeless people on skid row give a fuck. Sorry to break it to you but most could care less.

Btw, the largest disparity of income inequality just so happens to be in California...I find that kind of odd considering it's been run by liberals for 30 years. It's not even a leftist platform, this past election "jobs" were what Trump was running on.

As far as migrants are concerned I'm all for helping them rebuild their countries, after all that's one of Trump's policies https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/president-donald-j-trump-taking-responsible-humanitarian-approach-refugees/

Liberals are not socialists/communists. Liberals are capitalists. College middle class individuals have high expectations and are receiving diminished returns. Quite simple to understand the frustration.

Income inequality is a problem across America. It does not matter which party controls what.

Trump does not give a fuck about migrants because he is economically punishing (sanctions, embargoes) where refugees come from such as Central and South America. Trump does not help migrants HE MAKES THEM.

You can't be serious right? Weather tells us nothing from the general trend (the world is getting hotter).

My question and subsequent satisfaction with an interesting response appear to have gone over your head.

PS, why is income inequality a problem? Why should income be equal? How would you equalize it?

With force.

The only way to ensure equality of outcome is with force. Its why communism and socialism will always lead to mass murder and genocide

I never said it was. TOO much income inequality is a serious problem. Undermines the economy, creates oligarchs, erodes democracy and any notion of fair competition/capitalism.

Too much inequality ironically leads to outcomes such as Stalinist Russia and mass repression.

You're a fucking spastic.

There are multiple ways. War, revolution, plague, famine, depression, etc. Throughout history it has consistently required apocalyptic events to bring about any significant reduction in income inequality.

Yes income inequality is currently a problem in America. It is horrendous in America How is this fact the same as saying any form of income inequality is bad?

Income inequality is working well in Scandinavian countries.

Income inequality in America is almost the same as Russia. Both very bad regressive societies.

Communists don't even advocate for equality of outcome. What part of 'to each according to their needs, to each according to their abilities' mean equality of outcome?

All you people can do is strawman arguments that don't exist.

"Niku"

I asked why is it bad, why income should be equal, and how you would make it equal. So please answer those questions. If some forms of income inequality are okay then tell me where the line is drawn, don't put words in my mouth like you did with your question there at the end.

"Niku"

Income inequality is working well in Scandinavian countries.

Scandinavian countries are taxed through the roof to support their socialized medicine and education programs. Shouldn't you choose countries with equivalent economic systems as the US to make proper comparisons here?

America is nowhere near as regressive as Russia lol. While their income inequality might be equal, how well off are the poor in america compared to russia? You should elaborate on the implications of your statements to make them support your point better.
