I know that the weak minded have a common go-to of bashing Fox News, so answer me this: If Fox News and Tucker are so bad, who is a mainstream news person I should watch?

There are no good mainstream pundits. msnbc sucks shit as bad as the rest of them

I edited my question to ask which one is the least terrible in your eyes.

Heck, who in general should I rely on for my information?

Also, what right wingers will and won't accept as justification for something continues to be hilarious.

"There's no proof that Russia was behind the spy poisoning, FLASE FALG!!!!11"

"Chemical attack in Syria? I don't have proof but it was totally definitely absolutely Assad. I trust Trump, Sharia Blue shills be gone!"

It must be strange to always present yourself as an absolute idiot.  Of course, I will never experience myself.

You shouldn't *rely* on anyone. You're smart enough to know that nobody is actually telling you the whole truth, regardless of the network's political affiliations. If you want truth, then it's on you to take in information from a variety of sources from across the political spectrum and then think critically about what you've been told.

The idea of "relying" on one voice is very disturbing to me. Of course nobody is going to tell you how it really is, they would achieve nothing by doing so. I see it as a civil duty to take the time to research the news properly, educate myself, and make my own informed judgements. I wish more people did - it's the best way of taking power away from the big media networks.

You are absolutely correct, the best way to gather correct evidence is by going to multiple sources to become more informed and figure out which is closest to the truth, there is no one person that you should completely rely on for information.

I should not have stated the question the way I did, you got me on that one.

Tucker is one source of information.  He admits that he leans right, but he has also called out Republicans when they do stupid things as well.  I still ask, out of all of the mainstream news people who is the most trustworthy in your eyes?  Or, who takes the more logical approach towards a situation?

I cant remember the last time i watched the news. Maybe at the airport bar or some shit. Just a bunch of mouth breathers talking about meaningless garbo.

I really believe the switch to 24 hr news cycles fk’d up politics in this country. It forced all the networks to start finding ‘filler’ material to keep ratings up n dilluted quality reporting.

Or another way to ask, which mainstream news anchor has the most integrity and is the most honest today?

compared to carlson, probably all of them

Honestly mainstream news is all about making them clicks go higher. Fox really doesn't care about Trump. Are they more conservative? Yea, but Trump is bringing in a load of traffic for them so they'll keep on. Same goes for CNN, ABC, MSNBC, ect.

Semi politics related rant:

I've been skeptical of gubment goings on for years. I've been into "conspiracy theories" of reality like Operation Northwoods, Operation Paperclip, MK Ultra, Project ARTICHOKE, those type of things. I've also been super into real conspiracy theories(that don't defy science like flat earth and that kinda nonsense), like the governments hand in 9/11,JFK, pearl harbor, stuff like the moon landing and the honesty of the situation. I love debating in real time, not like how I act on here, I love to play devil's advocate just to see how I well I understand the counter point's, I just like to go back and forth with someone with opposing views who won't get all pissy and closed minded when you challenge their ideas.

I mostly consider myself generally skeptical, epistemology really resonates with me so I tend to remain skeptical no matter the situation. AAANNNYYYWAYY now that that preface is out the way. I just wanna say this whole "woke" movement is fuckin out of hand. It started out seemingly like a good thing to me, I was expecting more skeptics and conspiracy(the real ones at least) believers. Then it became a parody of itself really fuckin fast. Disregarding the obvious trolling, the actual believers are there and there is more than before. Whether it be this flat earth stuff, every tragedy being linked to the gubment, us not going to the moon(ever), GMOs, Vaccines, etc etc et-fucking-c. Happens a ton in political discussions, which is why I'm here. Both sides of the spectrum have their version of "woke" and it gives them a warm feeling of knowing something others don't regardless of how much they've looked into it. I've had multiple discussions with real life people who would tell you they consider themselves "woke" where I challenge their view and it devolves into me needing to "research it bro", or "the government lied once who knows what else they lied about" using that as some proof or something. And I'm used to that because I've been arguing with insane conspiracy theorists for years, the problem is how these questions and rhetoric have found their way into a fairly mainstream culture so pretentiously named "wokeness"

Im conflicted on my feelings on it because its so god damn annoying, but I'm so annoyed by it I know its not just that itself. I dunno if its "conspiracy hipsterism" where I'm just irritated by being called an "MSM sheep" or "shill" or some other nonsense by people who are recently "woke" when I've been fucking crazy for year. I think Alex Jones is fuckin loony and a fear monger, but I like to entertain some of ideas with a few friends of mine.

Tl;dr I was crazy before it was cool, people are doing my subculture wrong

I am skeptical about the moon landing b/c no matter what excuses I'm given, it doesn't make sense that it's 2018 and we haven't been back since the 70's.
