People are giving McCain a lot of credit on this skinny repeal thing, and I feel it's grossly misplaced.

The criticism of McCain was never that he explicitly toed the party line - that's why he has the nickname "Maverick". The criticism is that he's a stooge who hates public health care and is perfectly fine watching people die because they can't afford treatment for diseases just like the one that he's suffering from presently.

The skinny repeal was a recognizably terrible, moronic effort to anyone not bought and paid for by seedy political interests. Alright, we'll give McCain credit on that. However, that makes him a far more bold, brazen asshole with respect to the larger issue of health care. Don't buy into this "4D chess" argument that he voted yes initially so he could slap it down at the critical moment, John McCain WANTED a repeal and replace.

This exists for a reason.

He definitely wants it, but he was also one of 3 republicans (out of 52) that kept us from getting royally fucked by the skinny repeal.

He's still a shit head, but it was a good political moment for him.

If people want to say that he finally - FINALLY - found his testicles in the face of Trump and didn't just talk the talk, then fine.

It's always satisfying watching a liberal die in the middle of hate speech.

Sure trump is a megalomaniac but it's still the democrats fault he won. Not us dumb uneducated white voters.

Hell most of us were just voting ABC from the start... Anybody But Clinton! It is what it is though I'm just gonna cast a vote for Tom Brady next time so I can sleep easier knowing I didn't make the wrong choice you know.

Yeah, can you imagine if Clinton was in office?

My god, someone might be able to hack her phone and find her recipes.

Funny seeing you say this. Isnt this phrase always used when the food is gone and money is worthless so its time to slaughter half the population because "socialism" failed again.

I don't care who that man is or what he did in his life, I don't want to sit and watch somebody die on video. Sorry if that isn't the "manly" thing to do, but its not for me.

Funnily enough that would also happen if humanity continues to rise in population without looking for more places to expand into (IE space) and yet Trump seems to hate technology that isn't Twitter.

Trump is kicking so much ass, I love it. I love seeing all the liberals constantly crying about him. #Trump2020

I agree about population. I'd rather see humanity keep population steady or even slowly decrease it. Unfortunately a lot of financial aspects have been built on the promise of a bigger generation coming after the current one to fund it.

No idea what the rest of your post is about but whatever. Funny how you can take a post about the typical life cycle of socialism and try to redirect it to trump and twitter.

I do it on purpose to create jokes. (Also if you want to known. Trump has said multiple times he doesn't understand technology and at one point mentioned he wanted to look back into steam power. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.timeinc.net/time/4775040/donald-trump-time-interview-being-president/%3fsource=dam

"It sounded bad to me. Digital. They have digital. What is digital? And it’s very complicated, you have to be Albert Einstein to figure it out. And I said–and now they want to buy more aircraft carriers. I said what system are you going to be–”Sir, we’re staying with digital.” I said no you’re not. You going to goddamned steam, the digital costs hundreds of millions of dollars more money and it’s no good.").
