No, inheritance is choosing what to do with the money that you've earned.  If you feel your kids deserve it, that is your choice.

it is welfare because it's free money used for the sole purpose of improving one's welfare. just bc it didn't come from uncle same doesn't mean it's not welfare

Besides, in your utopian society we are not just talking about cash, we are talking about all assets, with is absurd.  You are proposing that not only should my parents not be able to leave me their money, but that they should not be able to leave me the car that my Dad and I are restoring because some poor people may need a car.  You are proposing that the clock that has been passed down to the first born male in my family for the past 5 generations shouldn't go to me because some poor stranger may need to see what time it is, or  that the rental houses that my parents own should be given to the tenants because it "isn't fair" that they didn't make the right decisions in life in order to be able to afford a home.

are you referring to the "abolition of private property" part of marxism? if so you have personal property confused with private property. no wants to seize your things, unless one of your things is a private business

What if my parents decided to give their entire "fortune" to charity?  Does the Government in your utopian society have the right to decide if it's a good enough charity, or would they just take the money for themselves because the charity didn't earn it?

what would make the govt want to disqualify a charity?

Once you stop being jealous of the wealthy and actually working towards bettering yourself you will be a much happier, more fulfilled person.

you really have no idea what the left stands for if you actually think jealousy is what motivates us.

Do you actually understand what you think?

yeah, of course. my brain isn't completely smooth.

edit: did read that charity part wrong though

I think there's a healthy middle to all of this. Shouldn't get all of your parents money because you won the gene pool lottery, plus very unhealthy for someone to get that amount of money and power without knowing what it took to get it or how. However you don't get fucked massively by the government either by getting it all taken away.

Maybe like after your 35-40 years old you get that cash? That's when a lot of people become billionaires and allows for people not to become the most entitled spoiled bitches to walk the planet.

You'd be lucky as hell if the rich mans money was taxed once amirite

the top 1% pay half of the overall income tax in this country and the top 20% contribute over 84% of all federal income tax.

top 20% contribute almost 60% of all tax revenue in the country.

You really care whether or not people work hard? I thought you want everyone to have free shit just because.

of course i want people to work hard. the "free shit" (healthcare, access to food, education, public transit, affordable housing) are things that i believe are necessary to give people the best opportunity to work hard and succeed

lmfao.

their "success" is just exploitation you chud. how does one actually earn a billion dollars through hard work? they dont. maybe some billionaires work hard, but in relation to the actual work that they do, they still make way way too much. and don't give me the "oh but he risked his money when he invested it so it counts as labor" bullshit

and please tell me how the walton fortune heirs work hard and succeed?

The irony is that every modern luxury you enjoy is because of some "Chud's" innovation.

Old man learns he is going to die within a year. He worked hard his whole life to save and provide for his children. He transfers all of his assets to his children with the understanding they will use it for themselves and to take care of his final expenses. Now there is nothing to tax and your stupid system fails miserably, just like socialism (communism) has every single time it has been tried. Your ideas that you deserve somebody else's money more than anyone else, especially family, is just pure envy. That's why you won't share your age. You are embarrassed to admit you share the same terrible fantasies as every lonely 14 year old edgelord, even though you should be self sufficient and an actual adult by now.

You're just a spoiled brat that never grew out of that phase. Just like you thought you deserved some other kid's toy, you think you deserve other people's money. You pass it off as a ploy to help everyone but you just want the benefit of someone else's work for yourself. Typical lazy millennial that would rather spend 30$ a day on avocado toast and gluten free coffee than to actually learn how to manage money and build a sustainable lifestyle.

Looking forward to your typical response of "lol you're mad," "dude calm down lol," ignoring this entirely, or disappearing for several days

John McCain skirts the boundaries of a person who deserves terminal cancer.

At least you can't get cancer of the spine when you don't have one. Fuck him.

I don't wish death upon many people, but I will be happy when McCain is replaced.
