HCS Pro League Fall 2016 Teams, Seeds, and Discussion‏

Recommended Posts

I would be more on board of pushing 343i to work with MLG if I were presented with a complete plan that I felt good in getting behind. Right now, we have the history of MLG doing wonders for Halo in the past, but certainly the esports climate has changed drastically since then and MLG's plans for approaching this game would change accordingly. As a result, I'd like to see someone offer a plan first, and then the community backing that plan instead of just throwing allegiances completely to one side based on personal sentiment (which granted, MLG has certainly earned with the Halo community). Could MLG have that plan? Absolutely, but as a fan and someone running a team, I'd like to see and be able to provide feedback on it first.

Well yea, you only have one side of the 343-MLG story because one party decided to go and air their behind door conversations. I personally don't feel it's okay to do so and I don't think that 343i should start going out and publicly listing all the reasons they chose not to work with MLG. What message does that then send to other TOs who might seek to work with them?

I mean, it's not as if ESL laid out a full schedule detailing their plans for competitive Halo 5 when they got the gig. Hell, for the longest up until Fall Season it was like pulling teeth trying to get info on rules, schedules, prize pools, venues, dates, etc. I will say thay've improved in that regard.

I just think it's a ridiculous statement to say that MLG needs to provide a plan to the community to even get their foot in the negotiating door. This also comes right after you ridicule Adam for displaying some transparency that is greatly appreciated in this community as it is in any. Which way is it going to be? Full transparency, selective transparency, or no transparency?

We need to know so we can organize and march in the correct direction(s) with our pitchforks at the ready like the cesspool of ignorance that we are, obviously.

I wonder if cooper lurks in here and sees how popular he is.

Sometimes when I'm in bed and can't sleep, I wonder if somewhere Cooper ever thinks about me, because I think about him.

Well if that's what Adam told you. I'm not going to say anything more because it's not my place to speak on it, but again, we're only hearing segmented parts of one side of the story. Regardless, we can't change what has happened in the past, I'd like to focus on the future and how we can most effectively work to improve things.

leave and never come back again...

I never invested too much into what he says after I randomly tuned into Heytred's warzone stream and found myself being analyzed as poster and compared to Cooper.

I do however agree with a lot of the feedback posts though. More feedback should be given in that manner.

edit: @@Lazer @@808heartbreaks regarding and older Halo league. I'll spare the long answer but it's just not realistic. We are at a point where I think we can get a few CE events organized a year, but thats the most I can do. I don't think anyone can afford to run a league or open events. I've reached out to Adam numerous times and haven't heard anything back. Not even to run a league but just looking for some advice or answers. I also used to respond to the MLG guys tweets when they'd tease these throwback events but didn't hear anything back. The Beach LAN is my focus though for sure.

Huh? I don't think that was me that you heard. I always referred to you as a person who was very open minded and had individual opinions that were objective. Obviously you are a hardcore CE fan but when H5 came out your complaints/positive remarks were very logical. I admired that.

I was not a fan of Cooper. Hopefully that clears things up, I wasn't aware we had any problems :/

So is Infused dropping Havoc for Doodle?

They scrimmed XMEN with Doodle and I had 3 of the 4 Infused players on my team in Arena and Havoc was on the opposition team.

Now scrimming Pulse with Doodle.

@@Batchford any comments?

By bringing back MLG

Cooper probably took his talents and insight to other games like COD and CSGO.

Nah cooper has always been around Halo. Getting banned on bungie.net 20 times never stopped him.

We sure looked like a negative cesspool while trying to get @@Tsquared to the casting desk. Sure we weren't the only reason he got there but gd did we make an effort. Now that he's at a podium that people can hear him, this is what we get? Smh.

Look Tom we aren't trying to bash you. Imo it just seems like at some points you take a sip of the 343 Kool-aid. Some instances we have been told to "settle" and "adapt" because we used to be in darker times than these and now it's getting better. When we actually have constructive things to say but they fall on deaf ears, or 343 does things without talking with pros or the community is when we get up in arms. Example of which is changing Team Arena to a testing playlist instead of mirroring the actual settings. I don't speak for everyone, just my opinion.

@@Tsquared didn't get the chance cast pro league until I tweeted @@Timo with a link to his solo cast streams and made the reccomendation.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, as much as Newegg probably misses you, you're welcome Tom.

There's at least one universe in which every single one of us is Cooper.

And if you don't believe in the multiverse theory, then you must believe that we are all Cooper.

Having worked for a companies online customer support team, reading nothing but curse words and bad attitudes is very off putting and honestly i quit that job because of all the negativity. I would skip over the complaints with large amounts of curse words/ insults in them. The complaints that were well worded and had structure where the best, i love conversing with patient constrictive people and we were able to solve there problems faster because of it. And for the record im not talking about joe dirt complaining his honeybaked ham didnt have enough honey, im talking big companies with large amounts of money at stake looking to buy or sell things from my previous employer.

343 does not have a customer feedback specialist to my knowledge, it is a nice position to have in a company, it takes a lot of pressure off the creators/organizers.

So in my opinion no matter what, no matter how long it has been being respectful is always the best road to take. We know they have not listened to us before but cursing out all of 343 is not the right move to make. These men and women are working hard, they are NOT twiddling their thumbs around at the office everyday.

Kill with kindness.

Edit:B4 you link all those constructive posts i get it, i like it, i want more of it.
