HCS Pro League Fall 2016 Teams, Seeds, and Discussion‏

Recommended Posts

Well I just wasted all my time making a custom one.

Id rock it. Id also rock str8 skins too and those would most likely be the only skins I bother to purchase. I thought CLGs looked cool but had no real desire to pay for them. Str8 hits me right in the nostalgia though.

Some hit up Ramby and let's bring back Storm Ventures.

god this game can be annoying. just booted it up to play my first game in a week or two. I remember it being frustrating but how bad can it be?

"Problems with the Dedicated Server", kicks me from the match then the game freezes

oh. right.

I've not seen much of Overwatch but from what I've seen it just seems so chaotic

Its is. Fun to play a bit hard to spectate.

Starcraft 2 is still amazing to watch. The tactics that go into it are top tier.

I'm surprised 343 has taken so long on other teams skins. Figured Liquid skins would have been out by now for sure. Only thing I can think of is they are doing a LAN release schedule seeing as they released the nV skins the day of Orange County.

i've been waiting for the guy with the str8 one to post so i can gank it  :lxthul:

I'm late

Just look up Halo 5 on the console's store page. All of the REQ bundles and skin packs are available there.

Much appreciated homie. Now I can rock the OpTic Magnum and nV AR! (Poor EG lost my love this week)

While I kind of agree with you -- we've seen OG beaten by EG and they're opposite ends of the league. No-one would argue they're that close in terms of skill gap. Not to say there isn't room for that to change, but occasional wins can easily be chalked up to bad days/ dodgy ping/ dodgy comms etc.

No one would argue EG and Optic are close in skill gap? Lol. This entire season of Pro League has shown how very close all 8 teams are most of the time. There's just a couple of teams that clutch up more often than the others, which is more indicative of confidence as a team, than skill.

scary stuff

While I appreciate Money Matches helping big time when it comes to getting players to tourneys and monetary support, I still agree with Frank that they are fishy. Website still isn't up right? Yet, you can bet on skybet in UK on halo which apparently is decently popular and make good money. Not fake currency.

Just a thought.

Hard to believe anyone would partner with them with the way that the "CEO" presents himself and the company via social media.

But, like you said, at least he is helping the community through monetary donations to tournaments.  Every bit helps.

Every bit does help, but Zach the CEO is very erratic to say the least on his Twitter. Still, money is money and you have to start somewhere in esports. Money isn't exactly flowing in Halo.

You do realize how hard it is to set up betting on esports in the US? There's multiple sites hosted by the US that Americans are the only ones who cant bet due to the amount of laws in place to prevent it. Government messes up everything fun because there's a few idiots that ruin it for the masses (example legal fireworks for more states in US)

More like massive lobbying by casinos to keep online betting illegal

Oh for sure, but I'm not the one making promises.

Also I like the new community manager. Apparently we're getting a mini fix next week.

Ghost melee fix coming next week:

Many people asked some variation of “will the Halo 5 servers be fixed?”

I think there are a few different underlying issues that parts of the player base have experienced that have been lumped into “fix the servers!” Overall the online experience for Halo 5 is pretty great but the team is aware of a few specific issues that seem to be increasing in prominence. As a commitment to sustaining a fun and enjoyable online experience along with a consistent and fair competitive landscape, the team is actively investigating these reports. In fact, I’m told there will be a very small update pushed out tentatively as early as next week that’s strictly under-the-hood work to further assist in identifying the root causes of reported instances of higher than usual latency, disconnects as well as melee registration to help facilitate a fix. I expect to be able to share more on this front in the coming days.

Notice the wording. It's an update to help IDENTIFY the issue, not fix the issue.

But this is good, nevertheless.

For sure. I'm salty they aren't going to directly fix theater because it would help revitalize the Halo montage community, but that's outside my control. Ske7ch seems very dedicated to Halo and has the right attitude about transparency. The fact that he mentioned MCC and potential updates is pretty ballsy IMO when he could have went with more softballs.

I see you've done your research, sportykid. Very good. Most don't realize the steps that you need to take to properly set up esports betting domestically, which is why MoneyMatches is way ahead of the game.

Then why haven't billionaires been able to get rights to hold online betting?

The answer he gave about the MCC was a non answer he basically said it was being "discussed and maybe we'll have an answer soon" the fact that there's even a question whether it should be fixed or not is complete horseshit considering we spent $60 dollars on a broken product.

Most other companies would see it as an obligation to fix the broken product they sold us not but not 343i.
