Yeah I brought it up several pages back and someone made a bad joke about McGregor. 

 

I'm all for it. Scorsese is still making good films, this will be his first collaboration with Pacino, and he's gotten great performances from the other three. I don't think Pesci and Keitel are quite confirmed yet tho

 

Should be interesting with the whole de-aging thing they'll be doing and Scorsese claiming that the film will be different from Goodfellas and Casino stylistically and tonally.

Once again literally the slowest developing, least interesting, cliff hanging, reach around of a show ive ever seen. s1 was abysmal in all aspects. clearly i hate myself a little, since im posting here, but i dont hate myself that much. not about to endure season one of the leftovers. would rather lick mark mountains sweat flaps

ALIEN COVENANT lacked the magic that PROMETHEUS had. The craftmanship was there and Fassbender is a dream as always but there was just something too clunky about the CGI mixing with the practical effects.

Just got around to watching, loved the chase scene. Really enjoyed this movie, even with the second half not being as good as the first, I loved how it ended!

I enjoyed Alien: Covenant. Pretty decent overall. Nothing extraordinary like Alien and Aliens. 

So pumped for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and in July the film my uncle worked on: Dunkirk.

Baby Driver was good. A bit disappointing but still good. The car chases were pretty underwhelming imo and after hearing so many great things about the soundtrack, I have to say it didn't really blow me away (although Boards of Canada was a nice surprise).

 

Other than that though it was still enjoyable. Edgar Wright's enthusiasm for the genre really comes through and the chemistry/banter between the cast is pretty great

congrats Vengeance: A Love Story, you are officially Nicolas Cage's worst film. such a depraved piece of trash. also i'm pretty sure it was secretly directed by Nicolas, but the finished product was so garbage that one, "Johnny Martin", is credited as director. you're not fooling anyone, Nicolas, or should I say... Johnny.

Binge complete. The Leftovers is fucking brilliant. A truly original TV show that explores the many layers of grief that comes losing a loved one(s). Outstanding acting, writing, and real emotional depth to the characters. 

 

"You've lost someone, yes? Someones. And you believe that you will always feel that pain. And if it starts to slip away, you... you seek it out again, don't you? You won't let it kill you, but you won't... Kill yourself. For whoever is joined with all of the living, there is hope. Surely, a live dog is better than a dead lion."

 

I'm gutted that I can't watch any more. Gonna miss this shit.

I genuinely thought that Baby Drive given it's cinema and soundtrack made it the greatest heist movie I had seen in a long time. Perhaps ever.

i thought the soundtrack was next to perfect, really enjoyed the film. probably scored it too high but meh
