Fantastic book below on the current schooling system that teaches, above anything else, that obedience to authority is the highest virtue.

The book is written by a former prize-winning school teacher who suddenly quit his job after the burden became unbearable.

We started to see Brandon flounder in the first grade, hives, depression, he cried every night after he asked his father, "Is tomorrow school, too?" In second grade the physical stress became apparent. The teacher pronounced his problem Attention Deficit Syndrome. My happy, bouncy child was now looked at as a medical problem, by us as well as the school. A doctor, a psychiatrist, and a school authority all determined he did have this affliction. Medication was stressed along with behavior modification. If it was suspected that Brandon had not been medicated he was sent home. My square peg needed a bit of whittling to fit their round hole, it seemed. I cried as I watched my parenting choices stripped away. My ignorance of Table of Contents Page 16 options allowed Brandon to be medicated through second grade. The tears and hives continued another full year until I couldn’t stand it. I began to homeschool Brandon. It was his salvation. No more pills, tears, or hives. He is thriving. He never cries now and does his work eagerly.

It's an important read because the schooling system is at the root of many of the problems we face in society today.

Dude. I don't care.

I mean I do care, but Hillary getting into the White House does not vindicate some pervasive, festering, hypocritical, bigoted awfulness about the general American psyche. "All it means" is that we still don't give a shit to know enough about politics to have an informed vote, and that's been true for decades. It's also why this election isn't Gary Johnson versus Bernie Sanders.

It's the difference between malevolent intentions and laziness. At least with laziness, you're just procrastinating going in a direction, you aren't driving 100 mph down the worst possible road. You do not have to throw the baby out with the bathwater to cure some existential tribal angst that isn't even based in reality.

I am far more concerned about the ease with which the American public is able to be gleefully swept up in a trigger-happy crusade against "the bad guy over there" than I am that a politician did something bad. All politicians are bad. Trump just airs his badness out in the open, and this is what passes for being an upstanding person. Hillary Clinton had some emails on a server, Trump wants to ban all Muslims from entering the country. Hillary Clinton was one of dozens and dozens of cogs in the Benghazi affair, Trump calls immigrants rapists and murders. Let's remember that Trump hasn't had the opportunity to fuck up while in power yet. You think he'd go through a Presidential term squeaky clean? Or is it okay if he just does a bunch of terrible things but owns up to them and grins?

Hillary Clinton as President is not scary to me. The American populace voting for Trump's ideals is fucking terrifying.

The people voted Crooked Hillary over Bernie because people don't want a socialist and they don't want to pay 80% of their income towards taxes. The people didn't vote for Gary Johnson because they don't know or care about him.

If we get Crooked Hillary, then this country will be in serious trouble as she will continue Obama's legacy of more free trade, more illegal immigration, and more debt. This is absolutely unsustainable. Eventually other countries will deem our dollar worthless and when that happens, we either fall into 3rd world status or we are going to World War III.

For me, Donald Trump is a dream candidate. He is talking about the real issues affecting our country and has real solutions in solving them: illegal immigration, bad free trade agreements, and our $20 trillion national debt. Trump speaks from the heart, won't be bought by lobbyists and special interests, and is running for president because he genuinely wants to "make America great again". There is a reason the Bush's, Romney, and McCain didn't support Trump. It's because THEY are the establishment and are just as crooked as Crooked Hillary!

Crooked Hillary thinks that America is already great, despite our $20 trillion deficit and thinks we should welcome illegals and probably wouldn't object to allowing just anyone to come here. Like Trump said, we either have a country or we don't. Also, Trump calling illegals murderers and rapists isn't racist, because a lot of them actually are. He tells it like it is.

If Trump is able to do everything he is talking about...deporting illegals, building the wall, ending bad free trade agreements, and bringing down the national deficit, he will go down as the greatest president in history.

Trump is our chance to bring America back to greatness. Hillary would be putting the final nails in America's coffin.

What's funny is that I strongly agree with 99.5% of your Halo related posts, but when it comes to politics we are polar opposites. I don't get it. You're so logical with Halo, but with politics it seems that you don't have an understanding of how grave our country's situation is. $20 trillion national debt, bad free trade agreements and millions of uneducated, unskilled illegal immigrants not a big deal to you?

Unskilled Mexican immigrants could program a better Halo than 343.

Lol. Considering how many Mexicans I see on Reach, you're probably right.

Funny thing about debating politics is that studies have shown it messes with you psychologically. You tend to see the opposition as more radical than they are if you're not aware, which certainly influences how you conduct yourself during a debate.

I know I'm a few pages late to the party but here is my opinion on crime in the inner city. I actually wrote a speech for a class on this very topic. I wanted to leave out problems at home/absence of parents because people get all offended when you tell them how to raise their kids. Also, because it was supposed to be from an educator's standpoint. I'll tl;dr it for you

The three keys to combat inner city violence/crime are as followed.

E- Education. It begins in the elementary and middle school classroom. These kids are hardly encouraged to pursue a career that requires a higher level of education. Imagine if these kids grew up wanting to be teachers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. rather than wanting to be rappers, thugs, pro athletes (don't get me wrong, athletics are great, but kids shouldn't but all their eggs in one basket). Crime rates would drop exponentially.

O- Opportunity. Once these kids have found what they want to do, they take the initiative to go do it, which leads to educational/employment opportunities.

I-Income. Its no secret that someone who has a well paying job and a good career is less likely to commit a crime. Generally steady income = happiness and happiness= less crime.

Also, my FB friends experiment result:

DT-62

HC-9

I live in Alabama, so I'm not surprised at the outcome.

Great post! it highlights exactly why Clinton supporters hate talking about their own candidate more than anything.

Liberals one month ago: "Trump is literally Hitler because he doesn't want illegal immigrants in this country!"

Liberals now: "Well, yeah the Clinton campaign was planning to use anti-Semite comments against their opponent but saying Clinton is like Hitler is just u-unjustified!"

If Trump did a quarter of things Clinton has done since January, people will would literally be asking for his head. Can you imagine if it was leaked that Trump wanted to use anti-Semite comments against Sanders and plan to sell political positions to top doners?

Watched Trump at the convention last week. He talked for a very long time and didn't inform me of any solid plans based in reality he has if he's elected. I wasn't surprised.

Anyone who proudly votes for Hillary is a complete idiot.

Don't worry just a couple of months ago they couldn't wait for Bernie to beat Trump in November!

Meanwhile, Trump has yet to get an endorsement from Kasich, Bush, Rubio, or Cruz... But guys it's standard protocol for Bernie to endorse Hillary!!!

At the same time, I would be lying if I said it didn't worry the hell out of me to make Donald Trump the leader of the free world, and give him nuclear weapons... so I can objectively understand people voting Hillary if they truly believe she's the lesser of two evils.

I remember when people were complaining about Obama ruining the county eight years ago. While I may not agree with his policies, there is no doubt he is a great person and even better father/husband. So lets just relax and try and have a little faith in whoever gets elected in November, because we all know either candidate will be heavily criticized regardless of what kind of presidential term they have.
