Deserves? Probably not, but in today's NFL you are generally stuck with what you have at the QB position. A bottom feeding team would pay Tannehil the same amount so you might as well pay it and keep your guy. I feel like this is a problem most front offices in the league are facing right now..

It's still a wait and see on whether or not he deserves it. I will say it's a good deal for both sides as it affords Tannehill security with the guaranteed money and the Dolphins flexibility given that they can move on from him at any time after 2016.

If he plays like the 10th best quarterback in the league, the price will be right. Last year he was literally the worst starting quarterback in the league according to PFF. The good news is he probably couldn't have another season like that if he tried. Hopefully he can bounce back.

Just looking at the size of the Bears WR's. If Cutler made some of them jump balls he'd probably complete more passes, everyone he's gonna be throwing to this year seems to be 6'3" and taller.

We saved $6 mil on a player who has had surgeries every season. He was very up and down, but he was a beast on his good days. He hasn't fully retired "take a year or so off", but he'll be on the team's retired/reserved list.
