EU Halo Players - Introduce yourselves to the scene!

Hello Everyone,

 

My name is Mark 'Onset' Hatcher and you may have seen my casting the UK Region for the Halo World Championships. Im also an ex-competitive player, been around since H2 and want to get to know some new EU players out there, who want to play some Halo and get involved in a project I'm calling 'Halo Community Night'.

 

This idea stems from my personal difficulties with getting into the competitive scene back in the day I know many struggle with now. My aim is to create a fun, competitive enviroment for players who want to get into the scene to do just that, through a community customs group who will play once a week, on a Wednesday, at 8pm. No ultra sweating, more of a meet and greet for players to get some experience of the scene and learn a bit about it.

 

My idea is to create a list of players who are interested, from which myself and one EU pro player will head up the teams to play some fun halo, playing a Bo11 series to get to know other players and just have a blast playing halo. From this hopefully some of you will meet other likeminded players, and get involved with EU halo and what it has to offer.

This is a great idea, I'd be keen to join as well if there is still space on the list (GT: schmoogol). If the demand turns out to be greater than lobby supply on Wednesday do you expect that you'll be attempting to switch out teams through the night or focusing on one group per evening? Are you planning on setting up a Discord server or equivalent to facilitate communication between players who might want to set up teams and play together outside of the organised Wednesday games?
