Not sure if anyone watched Optic Big Tymer's video where he talked about the "video games don't belong at the x-games" comments. See below if you're interested in that debate.

Why did they remove empire ctf and slayer but leave in an arguably worse gametype in regret slayer?

I agree with him. I see both sides of it equally having formally been a college recruit and serious athelete before finding my competition fix in gaming. I just feel eSports needs it's own Xgames if you will. A all eSports biyearly event that gives medals away like an XGames but strictly for eSport accomplishment would be so dope to spectate

That feeling when you're on a team that you think has a legitimate shot at making some waves in the LCQ, but then teammate drama and immaturity results in two players shadying.  :walshy:

Looking forward to the action this weekend, and now looking very forward to watching and competing in season 2. Pulling for either Posey's squad or Optic. The best part is, I think that either team would have a pretty solid chance at making it to worlds based on their group.

I see her point and there are two sides of it but here is one thing I think a lot of people, especially her are overlooking.

This isn't the gamer's faults.  This is X-Game's problem.  They inked a deal with MLG.  So if this chick or any other X-Game athlete has an issue with gamers competing at X-Games, they need to take it up with the people running the show an stop bashing gamers.

To derail the talk about the skiers tweet, I would like to talk about the 6-4 map count. I do not believe that the first three map wins should hold relevancy here. That's like saying an NHL team won 4 of 4 games against a team in a regular season, then went 3-4 against that team in playoffs. Because they won the 4 regular season games, their record is 7-4 against that team. However, they didn't win the important games (playoffs) which is all that matters. I just don't like those round robin wins being brought up at all.

To add to that, EG looked beastly on Saturday compared to Friday and even Thursday. Lunch even mentioned something about the CLG round robin series not even mattering for the bracket, which gives me the impression that they weren't giving it entirely 100%.

I think CLG would most likely win that best of 7 more times than not against EG, but bringing the round robin scores into it just seems irrelevant.

Well when you think about it, if you are extremely confident that, win/lose, you will make it to the finals and have a rematch against that team, why would you want to tip your hand strategically by going all out?

I think they were not going 110%, and their strats on Satd looked different than they did the first match against CLG

Using that strategy would entail a lot of inherent confidence from EG. CLG were vicious opponents, that said, I could imagine some strategical sandbagging.

I am really of the opinion that just for shits and giggles that Formal should play in this weekend's LCQ. If there is nothing going on in CoD, just throw a quick team together and play Halo. He clearly has the itch, and there is no better way to satisfy it than playing this weekend. If It isn't mean to be, the itch can die. You don't know if you are in it unless you try.

Does anyone know how the brackets are going to work for the LCQ? Will it be a random draw or is it based on points? Some teams could be royally screwed if it's random

I was wondering last night If CLG placing second to EG at XGames will take a toll on them mentally at Regionals and Worlds. They were playing dominant ever since they picked up Lethul. I know It went to a game 7 and It was a very close series but does anyone else think EG winning will disrupt CLG mental game and will use this momentum?

I highly doubt it.  CLG doesn't seem like a group of guys to get tilted easily lol

Like @@LethuL has pointed out, they actually beat EG 6-4 in map counts, so at least that is something positive to take away from it even though they didn't get that crispy Gold Medal.

I'd imagine with more time CLG is only going to improve their teamwork, but so will EG and every other team.

Regionals are going to be :flames: :flames: :flames:

I'll agree with that. Was just a thought I had last night. CLG still looks crazy good and I wouldn't be surprised If they took Regionals.

But I think everyone Is with me when I say we want a CLG/EG finals again  :walshy:  :walshy:  :walshy:  :intensifies:  :intensifies:  :intensifies:
