Halo World Championship 2016 Teams, Seeds, and Discussion‏

Holy hell. Worlds Pool C is a death pool, even more so than NA Regionals Group C

I don't know, Group A looks pretty rough too. Denial definitely pulled the best group IMO.

Just to clear up some things, here is the link to the HWC rules

https://content.halocdn.com/media/Default/community/hcs/handbook/hwc-rules-v20151118-1000c443f48346b789f585e9dd28c62e.pdf

Those pools posted are being drawn from to create the groups. No more than two NA teams per group and no more than 1 team from any other region per group. So similar to the World Cup, Euros, Champions League, etc.

People WE DON'T KNOW the actual pools yet.

Each pool must be composed of 2 NA teams, but have at least 1 team from each of the groups listed earlier.

So basically we could have this

Group A

CLG (Pool A ) NA #1

Aftermath (Pool B )

Epsilon (Pool C )

Renegades (Pool D ) NA #2

Group B

Infused

Denial NA #1

Fab

Noble NA #2

Group C

Chosen Squad

Excel

Evil Geniuses NA #1

Team Liquid NA #2

Group D

Immunity

Exile

Allegiance NA #1

Triggers Pound NA #2

I'm super tired but pretty sure group B is broke because I don't think you can't have 2 EMEA teams, could be wrong...

Edit @@Tubmas link confirmed it

The following restrictions will be in place when teams are drawn from the Pools and placed into the Groups

○ Each group must have exactly one (1) team from each pool

○ A group cannot contain more than two (2) teams from North America

○ A group cannot contain more than one (1) team from EMEA

○ A group cannot contain more than one (1) team from ANZ

○ Any invalid draws automatically fill the next valid open slot in the Group

○ Valid draws cannot invalidate future draws

It just bugs me how sensitive people get to teabagging. Trash talk and bagging has always been part of the Halo competitive scene. Nothing wrong with it. Same way NFL players dance in the endzone.

Seems like 343 wants this tournament to super politically correct and void of all emotion.

"Why, good sir, that was a good snap shot, I raise my glass to you. Thank you for properly beating me."

How groups are drawn needs to be in the OP or something. Way too much confusion going on here.

Guys. "Group Stage ● The qualified teams will be placed into the following pools to be drawn into Groups. Teams will be drawn from the above Pools into Groups for the Group Stage portion of the Finals"

Meaning we dont know who's playing who until they draw groups.

Allegiance and EG being in the same group seems dumb and sticking the 5-8 squads all in one group doesn't make much sense either.

These aren't the pools for worlds. Just groups. One team taken from each group I believe.

Yeah 100%, I think people are just theorizing for now which tbh they won't be too far off

Burbank is a town over from Hollywood. ESL Studio/offices are in Burbank.

Take this for what it is. Could just be a central location to production equipment and staff. Could be at the studio(Though if I recall, the studios are WAY WAY WAY too small for a World Championship event).

Just a tid bit of info for you guys.

Attended season 2 finals and I'm with you.  The Burbank ESL studio can literally only hold 150 or so people as an audience.  Hardly a venue worthy of the spectacle that will be the $2.5 million Halo World Championship Finals.  :lxthul:

Here, just uploaded the full Bubu Dubu Camo play with Twitch reactions as well:

The reactions in Twitch chat just make everything so much more hype.

There are not many possibilities tbh you can't have 2 EMEA teams in the same group and you must have 2 NA teams in each group.

CLG were the best team this weekend, unfortunately, as I hate seeing royal 2 win anything.

Moving on,

Denial were GREAT to watch. They earned a fan in  me - Huke seems very humble as do the others. Bubu is a monster. and contra is still a monster, as is devon.

Really good to see an up and coming team do so well, was so hype.

Evil geniuses looked shaky in the CLG series, and not on top form all weekend. But I think losing will be a blessing in disguise, it'll only drive those 4 players to work that much harder and come out on top come worlds.

I am so excited.

we are so back

much love halo community
