Tell me about it. Over here the cost of living is insane. My wife and I are both Tertiary educated and both work in professional jobs (full time) and still barely make ends meet. We upgraded from a unit to a house, since we had kids, because we needed the extra room. The average house price, where I live, is around $600K to $850K. We were lucky and got one really cheap at $540K. That, plus rates, plus increasing electricity bills, plus childcare fee's (Around about $700/week for 2 kids), plus food (About $350/week), we pretty much have nothing left in our bank account for fun. Shit, I feel like I have a mini breakdown at least once a month about our situation, but in saying that, all you can do is keep moving forward, as what other alternative do you have? Try not to stress too much, as things will eventually work themselves out. Trust me, I've been in your position plenty of times. Actually, I still am, as I'm currently back studying now..... and working full time.

I can't imagine what it's like to live in expensive as fuck England.

Once I get my real job, I plan on living well below my means, saving enough, investing some, and retiring a rich sad old lonely man (fine by me, will have my sexbox and porn to help with lol).

$600-800k? Holy crap. You must live up north huh? In Houston you can literally live in a celebrity style mansion almost for that price. Hell for $200k you can find a 2 story home for a family.

Haha, nah dude, I live in Australia.

Million dollar houses aren't anything special over here any more. I had a mate just purchase a 4 bedroom house, down the coast, for $1.3M. Admittedly, it is a nice looking house, but it isn't a mansion by any means.

Let's also not forget to mention that wages, cost of living, taxes, etc. is also higher across the board down under as well.

Lol dude, I wasn't trying to brag, if that's what you think. I was using it as an example of how expensive everything is over here.

Also, wages aren't as high as you think. The average wage, where I live, is about $67K/year. Most single people, unless they're a Doctor, Lawyer etc, will never own anything more than a unit or a townhouse. Wages certainly don't meet the cost of living in Australia, especially if you want to live in any of the capital cities.

Gotcha - I know you aren't trying to brag. I'm familiar with how expensive everything can be. Just sucks.

Finally getting my employee review this week.  It was supposed to be due 3 to 4 months after I started but it's been almost 8 months.  Right at the interview, they told I would get a "raise of 12/h after 3 to 4 months" verbatim.  If I get that, that will help me so much with gas money and school.  It might not even be 12.  Don't know.

I'm still looking for something close to home but the current job I have is pretty sweet.  I just listen to music all day driving and delivering packages to mostly women.  I drive in the country and in the city (saw them filming Anchorman II a few months ago and saw Will Farrell in person).  So its not a bad job.  Just that the raise would negate the driving that I have to do to get to work.

Hope everyone's day is going well.

Finally did cardio tonight and haven't done it in a long time.  Felt good.  Will be doing it 2 times a week for 15 to 20 minutes at smooth pace.  Best way to burn fat IMO.  HITT is a good way too but too stressful on the body at times with weight training.

I should start doing more cardio too. Improved my mile time by like 5 minutes then stopped once I started bulking. Wish I didn't, but oh well I'll start it up again soon.

Bought to do cardio for the first time in a long time today and do some abs. Its supposed to be my off day, but I am just too worn out on my work days to do abs. I have started to gain some fat on my stomach because of how long I neglected my abs lol. Hopefully this will be a nice addition to my routine.

That's not why you gained fat.  You must've been in a calorie surplus.

I think you're right now that I think about it. I was eating a lot of carbs and drinking quite a few beers. I am going to try to cut both.

lol you would have gained fat on your stomach even if you did abs every day. definitely due to the surplus as jolly said.

If you enjoy beer, why cut it? Just make sure you hit your protein and fat macros and make the rest up with whatever you like, as long as you are about 20% under your maintenance (or roughly 500 cals). Just don't go too crazy on the beer, but if you do, try and keep it to one-two nights / week.
