To those of you who have really low carb diets, what kinds of sides do you eat with your meals?

The best thing is veggies but whole grain rice/pasta is always nice to have if you're going to try to eat super clean. Yams, are also good.

Seriously, I need to find a new place to buy my groceries. I had to start avoiding this one checkout lady as she used to ask me weird questions about the things I was purchasing. Now I have this guy who, instead of just greeting me normally, asked me what super power I would pick if I could pick any?...... WTF??......

On topic - Fuark I hurt, only took a week and a half off and my body feels like I've been beaten up by 10 burly men! Every time I get off my chair, I need to let out an old man groan like I've got serious arthritis or something, haha!

This happens to me if I'm out of the gym for like, 2 workouts(5 days). I get horrible DOMs.

I had a tough workout friday, slept horribly, went to the football field saturday to catch some passes, got home, and I felt like I got hit by a train. Monday may be a rough one

I usually eat rice as a side.  I would like to add more veggies than just the spinach salad I eat but not really sure where to start. I only go to the store once a week as well.

white rice is fine too imo. all about portions to be honest eat whatever the FUCK you want (hodgetwins ftw).

On a side note I got a couple compliments today saying I looked ripped and bigger, but also  comments saying I look like i've lost weight and that I look sickly.

For those of you curious on how to get over an illness, vitamin C seriously kicks a punch if you up your dose.  Twice a day, do 2000mg in the morning and 2000mg before bed).

Plus drinking lots of water helps

Ok so I just started this morning doing starting strength, I am 5'11 225 and wanna cut down. I take Green tea extract, Fish Oil, and a Multivitamin along with a protein shake when I am done working out. I have a calorie counter I have been doing and I try to watch what I eat.

I also drink at the very minimum 4-6 bottles of water a day 64-96 fl oz a day.

Anything else I should do/take/change etc??

Broccoli/cauliflower/squash/carrots/asparagus/whatever is on sale. Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic. Put in oven. Roast until soft. Devour.

That's largely anecdotal. Not much research to back that claim up.

Thats what they say on stronglifts.com if you are trying to lose weight.

Eh, I overreacted a bit. It's generally good advice when it comes to losing weight, but I wouldn't make it an all or nothing thing. 50g or so of carbs as part of a pre workout meal isn't bad.
