Beryl AU Posted June 23, 2013 Since more and more people keep moving from THC to this site, I thought I'd start this thread over here and see how it goes. So yeah, here it is. Feel free to post any fitness related questions, goals, articles, advice etc. 6 Quote Share this post Link to post

ContrxL Posted June 24, 2013 I'm currently on day 24 on this program http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/steve-cook-big-man-on-campus-12-week-college-trainer.html I'm starting to see some real good results. I highly recommend Cellucor C4 for Pre-Workout. It tastes amazing and gives me the energy to power through my workout. It could be a placebo effect, but I swear I can lift heavier and do more reps with big weights when I use it. Going to start taking Amino X by BSN on Friday. I'll edit the post in a few weeks and tell my opinions on it. Quote Share this post Link to post
Rick Posted June 24, 2013 I need to start hitting the gym again, its just hard to get motivated. Wasting 30$ a month is getting old. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Alias Posted June 24, 2013 I took PE Weightraining this year. I lifted a couple times, but mainly played hacky sack. My reflexes: Stellar! Leg movement: Stellar! Muscle: Mediocre. Hacky Sack > Lifting 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Getting aHead Posted June 24, 2013 Almost 7 weeks out of the gym and i had two separate compliments on how "big" and "strong" i look 2 days ago. All i could do was wtf because personally i feel a lot smaller and weaker than almost 2 months ago. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Beryl AU Posted June 25, 2013 Up to my second cycle of 531 and I have to say I'm enjoying the program, but the last couple of sessions have been tough, as my kid has been sick all week, and because of this, I've only been getting about 4-5 hours sleep each night. Quote Share this post Link to post
heytred Posted June 25, 2013 So glad this thread is back. I spent countless hours browsing the OT MLG version. Right now I'm currently in a weird spot - I'm 5 weeks out of separating from the Army and being a full time student again. Currently (I'm sure some people will attempt to refute this fact) I work far too much to consistently stay in the gym, but I've been doing the best I can. I've lost a ton of weight and am sitting at a scrawny 5'10" 152 lbs. Come this August/September I'm going to start a ~10-12 month bulk and will be logging every bit of it, even referencing as far back as March 2010. In other words, look forward to some updates along the way. Quote Share this post Link to post

In other words, look forward to some updates along the way. I know the feels all too well. Last semester at school I was working nearly full time (~32 hours a week) and taking 18 credits worth of computer science courses. It was either lift of sacrifice social life. I sacrificed social life, surprisingly. Worst semester of my life. This summer has been awful for me. I've been suffering through a slump (I won't say depression because everyone claims that shit) and it's been making me work out pretty inconsistently. I'm still sitting around ~158lb (I'm 5'6", short n***as unite) but I can see myself getting softer and I'm hating it. Tryinta get back at itttttttt. Quote Share this post Link to post
Ahab Posted July 10, 2013 I have no idea where to start with lifting or cardio, so advice please. I'm 5"11 and 160lbs Quote Share this post Link to post
Harville2 Posted July 10, 2013 I have no idea where to start with lifting or cardio, so advice please. I'm 5"11 and 160lbs If I were you id go straight to lifting, 5'11 160 sounds pretty small. I personally am 5'11 220 and need to slow it down, I am cutting my gym membership bc I got my hands on insanity, so I have been doing insanity for a week now and I also run 2-3 miles and do an ab workout with it also. Its pretty intense cardio, but also works other muscles as well. Its a really cool program and I am looking to drop below 200 maybe even 185 by the end of it all. Quote Share this post Link to post

Beryl AU Posted July 12, 2013 I guess I can make the switch over...seeing how I'm essentially forced to do so... I've been checking this site more than THC for Halo info anyway. I feel THC is slowly dying, and the site crashes aren't really helping their situation. In other news, I'm sooooo close to benching 100kg's (225) again @ 74kg's (163). Probably try for it again in a couple of weeks. At the moment I'm doing 92.5kg's x 5 (203). Quote Share this post Link to post

Harville2 Posted July 12, 2013 I did p90x once, back in high school. Was lots of fun and an intense workout. However, I have never seen anything like Insanity. I really love it so far, a week in and seeing great results in cardio. P90x I put on some muscle but Insanity is going to get me in great shape. I really enjoy Insanity. dukiduke Posted July 12, 2013 If you're looking to do cardio and get lean, P90X and Insanity are actually pretty good bets (don't do Insanity first). But if you're looking to bulk up and/or get stronger, they aren't very good methods of doing so. Especially because those programs often attract people interested in losing weight. They follow those at a caloric deficit, which makes them lose weight but not necessarily gain a lot of muscle. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
