  1. Hi, So I just saw the update about the state of the Master Chief Collection and what they are going to do to make it right with the fans once they have finished sorting out the numerous problems and issues that everyone is having with the game. I have seen some sarcastic comments around, some along the lines of "Sorry about MCC, here's a Halo Xbox background to say sorry." But what I wanted to know is what does everyone think this "make it right with the fans" will be? Personally the ultimate sorry for me would be a lovely remade Midship, absolutely free. This would be for me personally as (when I can find a game) i'm really enjoying playing anniversary, but adding a Midship remake to the game for everyone would give 343i more map diversity for the HCS. Having Midship in the map lineup would be one map closer to the original 5 competitive maps used for Halo 2 back in the day and would add new gameplay experiences and situations not seen on the other maps. So what does everyone want? and what does everyone think we will get as a sorry?
  2. Hi, Im Poppetking. Firstly I would like to start this post by saying I am new to this community, I have been playing halo since early in Halo 3 although I have played Halo 1 when I was a lot younger and played a fair amount of XBC Halo 2 for a while after halo 4 died off. So I have been around for a while and have enjoyed a lot of experiences that Halo has to offer. While Halo has given me many amazing experiences it has also influenced my life and what I want to do, I remember watching halo montages in the prime of Halo 3 and being amazed by how well made and professional a lot of the montages where (Legacy and the Str8 Rippin montage by Zola, followed later by MWM and alot of other video's by muggsy.) These montages inspired me to want to make video's and therefore influenced what I studied when I went to college. Getting hands on with editing and video production just inspired me more and left me with a desire to make halo montages. Unfortunately at the time I didn't have a lot of money and was never able to record or get the right editing software until recently, at which time I went out and bought a capture card and software in preparation for the Master chief collection, Exited I started experimenting with little edits with some old H3 clips (Only one really short early one released), I had such a great time experimenting and learning as I was editing. Unfortunately I was hugely disappointed when MCC was released as I couldn't use the theater function the way I was hoping, no longer could me or my friends save clips and have them sent over to me via fileshare to capture and gather angles for montages. You could say that I could just edit clips without angles but honestly that doesn't interest me as much and the almost movie quality montages with angles and effects that I want to produce. Even those styles of montages are not easy to make any more with the lack of saving clips to fileshare, or the in built DVR which is of a lower quality than the capture card I bought separately . Basically I made this post because for the sake of the montage and video creator community that is so big and important to the thriving of the halo community, I would like to know if theater can or will be fixed at some point. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of the DVR if I was able to have access to that back in the day I would have been making video's much sooner, but why force us to use it, it should be there to use but the functionality around it is only harming the content creator community and limiting the quality of the content produced. Is there no way that it can be changed so you can have the old functionality and then have the extra option of the DVR added aswell for new or less budgeted content creators to produce videos. Im sure I'm not the only one who feels this way and I am sorry for the HUGE post but I really felt like this needed to be said and hopefully addressed by 343i. Regards, Poppet
