  1. I have been saying this from the beginning H2A is a bad investment for any non HCS organizer and 343 dictating what we play competitively is about as big of a joke as the MCC launch. H2A is dead in a year and were left with the classic halo trilogy that could have had a growing tournament scene as we waited for H5. When H5 comes out people will still play the classic halos, if H5 is amazing or trash competitively we would already have the classics with an established tournament scene.
  2. I agree 100% the mcc has 3 other more well developed competitive titles that we can be playing for HCS
  3. H2A multiplayer was not meant to replicate H2Cs original gameplay, it's a re-imagining. The campaign however, is actually the way multiplayer should have been, better graphics same engine with the same glitches, hit boxes, weapon balance...
  4. You guys want a Midship remake for the HCS, the most competitive map of all time for H2A. H2A is on the back half of the worst halo's along with Reach and H4. If you really want to play it for tournaments or otherwise, H2 Classic and H3 are on the same disk with Midship in it's original glory on a better engine on a better game.
  5. Part of the reason the MCC has as many problems as it does is because of the unified Ui. I don't know anybody who would rather have stripped down versions of older Halos matchmaking just to be able to have the option to play any halo in one list. I'd rather launch every halo individually and get all the old playlists for each halo. 343 just screwed us out of more content and a a solid launch by unifying the MM.
  6. A FFA hardcore playlist would be great. Just one problem with your settings Jolly Josh, there is radar in FFA.
  7. What I don't want is for everyone to just rely on 343 to keep Halo tournaments alive. Now that we have the greatest Halo's assembled in one place we have a unique opportunity that other gamers wish they had to bring the Classics back. For those that want Halo 1, 2 or 3 tournaments we can make that happen now. Don't just ride the wave of what's new for the sake of newness and don't rely on any one organization to carry our future competitively or as a community.
  8. Forge should be a last resort option, a game as close to ''out of the box'' as possible with minimal tweaks fosters a broader competitive audience
  9. I think it's important for people to realize that there is no competitive future for Halo 2 Anniversary beyond this window between now and H5. Halo 2 Classic however can most certainly be played even alongside future Halo installments. With that being said, I feel the community and tournament organizers alike should understand that Halo 2 CLASSIC tournaments are a better investment toward the future. When H5 comes out there's no reason to play H2A, but people will still be playing classic H2. If H5 fails to solve the long pending issues of recent halo games a community of H2 Classic players and tournaments can already be established. If H5 turns out to be amazing and be the long awaited return of Halo's glory, Halo 2 Classic will still remain competitively and casually viable. I understand that 343 is finally investing in the competitive future of their game and is beggining to understand it's value. The Halo championship series is a great idea and everyone loves guaranteed tournaments. I personally feel that H2A is the wrong game for the HCS because it's not an accurate remake and doesnt have a fraction of the depth classic has. Don't just ride the wave of what's new for the sake of newness and don't rely on any one organization to carry our future competitively or as a community.Just wanted to let everyone know that it is possible for old school Halo to make a return to the tournament scene and that H2 Anniversary is only for a season but the Classics with never die.
