My point is that, no, we cant. We can make indisputable arguments for removing sprint, lowering the killtimes (something we've been doing since 2007 on the old MLG forums) in the nicest possible manner and the halo dev, whether it's bungle or 043, will always ignore it. You must be new if you sincerely think we can influence halo's game mechanics in any way.

I can't express this enough, especially after seeing how developers handle reception from their player base. While our distinct frustration with modern Halo company is unique, the frustration about game elements being gutted for accessibility or whatever isn't. It's acceptable to be in the minority of a global pool of feedback but when you claim you want to reach out to said group and double back on that because you can't deal with it, I would gladly say you're fucking up by shutting them out entirely. Players are reacting some type of way to something, and for a long ass time, maybe there's something to take away from it that won't hurt your dollaridoos has much as you really think.

The age of the in-game mic is over. It's not coming back.

I don't entirely agree with it, considering it's still actively used in PC shooters. I can accept the fact that it's a dying chat medium where text and VoIP services are available to more games and players respectively.

Because only CE people give a damn about them

I think a large amount of people like getting multiple chances to use power weapons in Halo, especially casuals. Why should that be limited by stuff like REQs or their poor balance in the sandbox enforcing a harsher limit per game?

If losing features is simply fast power ups then no one gives a damn except CE purist

That's a loaded issue with power-ups in general, I don't feel that Halo 4-5 had a good power weapon balance relative to the utility and each other so I wouldn't want those games or anything emulating it to turn into a fiesta. I still prefer fast power ups but to put that on CE fans is kinda weird.

Do you have evidence it lacking some fast TTK is a factor to why halo has declined. H2&3 had a long TTK according to YOU and they were a thousand times more popular than CE

It's literally written on the wall (or message board in this case) about how increasing the overall quality of the game contributed a lot to 2+3 success. We lost features going forward and that's a turn off on top of cheesy gameplay elements whether some things like gun play or kill times felt slightly better from one iteration to another is not all that relevant when compared to glaring issues that are frequently briefed about in each "completed package" of Halo. The point is that there are core functions and features to the game that have not been sustained well nor improved since the arguable peak(s).

What game doesn’t force people to play stupid shit to unlock something? PvP people aren’t the only ones who exist.

@Crimson just because you hate the truth doesn’t mean I’m wrong, merry Christmas asshole

I guess I can't downvote your opinion of games all needing to be designed to encourage a theme park routine to get things you want despite playing games that avoid this method to incentive players to do what they enjoy first and foremost.

Merry Christmas, hit the blunt for ya boi a couple times.

Always thought it would be cool if ranked mode was 'tournament style'

For ranked 4v4, there would be 10 teams, seeded by individual player stats, single elimination, B03 series.

Ranked FFA would start with 8 players on a larger map (say Midship), top 4 proceeds on a smaller map (say Wizard), and the top two advance to the finals for a 1v1.

Double elim would be interesting. This would create a more dedicated ranked experience, like CS.

Quickplay with match composer, rolling lobbies, auto balancing, join in progress, etc...

No other playlists needed. Less is more.

I would like this tournament design similar to how Guild Wars 2 does automated tournaments (on a cycle every X hours with premades being required). I would avoid ranked like the plague if it basically demand a premade based on the structure of it. (Winning with a team you don't exactly like from matchmaking and then being forced to play with the whole again with no chance of variance is not ideal.)

You can argue that single elimination helps with this, and I agree but not as the primary ranked mode. There could also be a slew of other problems such as match fixing, though with systems in place to moderate either live or post results can help alleviate this.

I think we can all agree that the quick play portion is functional for the larger % as they've proven they are exceptionally selective as to what turns them off from the game. I personally hate join in progress for FPS but as long as to#s can have a better chance of getting into a match from start to finish, it's fine. (Or even just allowing us to toggle it on/off would do a lot more good)

I honestly hope crossplay becomes the standard for gaming in general. Like, its one thing to not have some games that I personally wouldn't be into in the first place, but it sucks when you get into a multiplat like Dragon Ball FighterZ, but then realize that 90% of the playerbase is on PS4.

Definitely. It compounds when you also consider regional preference like your example of DBFZ (or generally most popular fighters.) I do hope we can both have options like cross play and better support of both communities (classic and modern).

Look at it this way, they are going to monetize something.  Be thankful it’s something as mundane as armor color and not something game-changing/breaking like weapons, attachments, kill streaks, et c.

I really hate the lesser of two evils here, but it's sad that it's our reality.

This makes me wonder if companies could get away with releasing a free version of a game with MTX, and also a full-priced version with all items unlocked.

They must anticipate that sales from MTX would equal or exceed the sales from a normally priced game.

    Hi-Rez would like a word

  11. I'm in the same pack of people that didn't like 1.0 Halo 3 mostly because I had to deal with really jank melees in Lone Wolves and it was EXCEPTIONALLY frustrating to deal with during the first months to a year of the game.

The campaign gameplay experience was also one that I couldn't replay as frequently as I would have liked (I favor Halo CE in this department).

My personal top 3 is CE, ODST, and a soft tie between Halo 2 and 4. I measure the last choice mostly from a nostalgic perspective as they were games I played during really notable social experiences in my life. Halo 2 beats it out as I would rather play that in 2020 over Halo 4.

The question I'm asking you is more to help you realize that the BR's spread is random. I dont expect you to make any points I havent already heard - been around much longer than you have.

I'll ask again - in the video I posted, why dont the BR bullets spread in a consistent manner?

If you're saying the spread is consistent, but all the evidence we have shows the spread is not consistent, do you accept that maybe you dont know what you're talking about?

We can discuss the detriments of H3's general killtimes/movement/timers etc... have after we can agree on the facts (that being that the BR spread is random and there's tons of evidence, including an admission from the game's developer, which supports that. Just to be clear).

You'd have an infinitely better time arguing with IceBeast. I promise you it's not worth a page of faux debating and dancing around a definitive answer from the opposition.

It takes more skill to aim because you have to break through the frustration barrier, the hair-pull barrier and the salt barrier just to get a single kill. CE Boomers will never understand the difficulty of Halo 5's aim. Idiots.

Your post is missing an "Lmao" or two.
