  1. Hey Teapot and holy shit this sounds super dope. Add me to the potential Shadowrun list and I'll let you know about CE. Damn I'm gonna have to hit up Majin and Zenn.
  2. Okay after doing some research I've figured it out. Technically you don't need the mixamp. If you have a newer controller they have the 3.5mm jack on the bottom already, if not you need the stereo headset adapter. Then just plug and play and you'll be good to go. If you wanted get the Astro mixamp it will give you digital 7.1 surround through your headset. There's a lot of debate regarding digital surround vs stereo and such, but I've always had an amazing experience with my Astros and Mixamp. It will also let you control voice and regular sound to find the best for both (you can do this with the guide button now, but its easier being able to switch it on the fly without having to open up the guide, etc). Also you can have the mixamp plugged in to your computer (usb) and to the xbox (optical) and get both PC sound, game sound, and chat). Just a thought but if you decide to go with just the headset you should be fine.
  3. You should be fine with these. I would recommend getting an Astro Mixamp. I don't have any experience with the HyperX headsets, but have always heard good things. Good luck.
  4. I'm pretty sure this was assuming they did right by the community with MCC, which to be honest they really haven't. "Just as you remember it." Never quite came to existence.
  5. I have the RL2460HT and I can say it is amazing, the hdmi output is awesome so you dont have to run it through your box (eliminates input lag from that). My only gripe is it takes a good 5-10 seconds to change inputs which is kinda annoying but not really a huge deal. I also have a http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VG248QE-24-inch-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00B2HH7G0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455905996&sr=8-1&keywords=VG248QE for my computer which is great for PC gaming but you have to use a displayport cable to get the 144hz. Also, I would wait for this monitor to go down in price, which it frequently does. I can say that the RL2460HT is a great buy especially for the price right now as I got mine about a year ago for $250. According to http://www.displaylag.com/benq-rl2460ht-review-gaming-monitor-hdmi-output/ it has an average of about 10ms input lag which ranks among the top in their lists. So for the price and if you plan on streaming with a cap card I would highly recommend it. Good luck with you search.
  6. So 2gre is on EG now right =( just lie to me but make it be true
  7. Hey guys, I'm streaming H5 right now. Check it out I have some music playing and some decent gameplay check it out. Thanks http://twitch.tv/hustler566
  8. To2 looking for dedicated people, were mature, experienced, and have the drive to excel. We can play everyday mostly nights and all day on weekends. Add and message xihustler on xbl.
  9. So did anyone get the update for the preview dashboard? Button mapping is available now.
  10. If you want a relatively cheap awesome monitor I recommend http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00ITORJRQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1432797008&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=benq+rl2460ht&dpPl=1&dpID=511uSstSqML&ref=plSrchI personally use this monitor and it's really amazing. Also the hdmi output is awesome for streaming as it won't add any input lag by avoiding the standard xbox thru cap card to monitor. Also I agree with people that the movement stick should definitely play a part in aiming, just not in a conscious way. If you find your snipe shots off by an inch or less that movement stick can be more forgiving and less prone to spastic movement than the aiming stick. Also if you play with vibration I would suggest trying with it off, it might feel weird at first but it helps when getting shot and also not getting into a bad rhythm when shooting. Also sometimes waiting that 1-2 seconds to start shooting could be the difference between the enemy getting back to cover or not. Hope this helps. =)
  11. Hey man, I play all the time. I'll add you my gt is xihustler
  12. @@Sal1ent Thanks for responding. It's nice to see an informal outreach to the community as a whole. Honestly, as a diehard Halo fan, I'm not quite satisfied with the "we like the way it plays" thing. I thought we were going for the most competitive settings for Halo, not the this feels the most competitive to us mindset, but I digress. We got a toggle option, so I can't be too upset I suppose. I would love to know who to speak to about the HCS Settings for H5 though. Is it possible to get a toggle any/all spartan abilities option? Sorry if this was addressed already but it can be hard to keep up with wants of the community and actual features. I truly hope H5 can be the game that Halo fans want and truly deserve. Please don't make us regret not actually finishing the fight with H3.
  13. I think balance is the key. As a H1 and H2 diehard the rest not as much (HR NBNS was okay too). H1 has IMO the best balance for itself taking into account utility weapon, spawns, etc. I have to admit that I also love Midship FFA's where 2 seconds of waiting can make the difference between a double kill or just a death. It's fun to watch a back and forth faced played game but it's also cool to see passiveness play a part in winning because of strategy and teamwork. For me both styles CAN be fun to watch but sometimes either can get boring ( too much stuff happening no sense of purpose vs nobody doing anything for extended periods of time). I think that the best pace for the best halo game that could be created lives somewhere in between CE and H2. Probably closer to the CE side though.
  14. For me, H3 is vastly overrated. Just moving and aiming around feels awkward as hell. Feels unnatural and like you're under water or in quicksand. Then you got a BR that literally puts a bullet in a random place and will also refund you a bullet when the connection "lost your shot". Blood shots on LAN and trading kills? Such progress. Terrible maps. IMO the only good thing about H3 is the campaign (decent), introduction of forge, theatre, and file share.
  15. It's really just the skill gap. Timing, less auto aim/magnetism, spawns, fall damage, shot leading, button glitches, positioning, etc. everything comes together in a way that just takes more skill. Don't get me wrong I love Halo 2, but I'll always defend H1 as taking the most skill. H1 skill gap is massive while H2 is just big, and H3 is virtually non-existent (just team shoot).
  16. If the competitive community along with pro player support decides that no sprint and whatever other spartan abilities we don't want to use is best for competition, will the HCS/343 support that?
  17. Very interested in helping out. Let me know what I can do. I'm sick of getting glimmers of hope for halo and then getting shit on by 343. I think they have the potential to fix halo, but should be working closely with the competitive community to get a finished product we can all take pride in.
  18. I had the same thing I made the first sound option 7.1 and the second bit stream out, updated controller hard reset the console (hold power till it's off wait 10 secs turn back on) and it worked fine for me since also the little cable that goes into the adapter can be weird so plug it in and out a few times worked for me. Got the gen 2 Astros now and no problems. Hope it works out for you
  19. Gt: xihustler New jersey HCS settings playing all day looking for customs
  20. Free map pack for H2A, Dedicated servers for customs for MCC and H5, 343 be willing to remove sprint if the demand is there (which im assuming it will be, unless perfectly balanced)
  21. Joined with three people and got seperated onto different teams...
