  1. I also taught myself button glitches at a young age and I get where people are coming from, but remember that players are still doing the combos on their own. Hardware advantages exist and have been a thing since before 2014, that's why people still call us headset users cheating soundwhores. Professional MMORPG players use game UI addons and mice with 24+ buttons with changeable DPI to make keybinds easier to press. World of Warcraft players have specific button combos just like we do. Professional fighting game players (Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, etc) all have different and custom controllers or gamepads as well, we aren't in the stone age anymore. As another user said, Scuf can be used for those that don't want to be forced to change to an uncomfortable hand position to do something they can already do, just like WoW players and CS:GO players have those mice to avoid uncomfortable hand positions and improve player movement.
  2. As excited as I am for a big part of my childhood that is Halo 2 to come back and be remastered, I don't think it's too much to ask for a little innovation. I don't want ANYTHING in-game to be different, keep our original mechanics, but I'd like to see features like Theater and Forge return, along with whatever else they can come up with. A competitive playlist is something I hope we see right out of the box, Team Hardcore but with a more sophisticated ranking and matchmaking system. I'd love for my first FPS games Halo 1 and Halo 2 to return, but I don't think they should be exempt from normal expectations of a new game in 2014.
  3. I'm by no means a big channel, but when Halo 4 had its run I was consistently putting out content. Now that its uninterested everyone I moved on to competitive cod, because thats where things are actually happening right now and I can also compete. Hope the next Halo is miles beyond this one, maybe there's a chance I'd come back to it. I used to work with Beyond for a very short period of time, it was pretty great. Here's the channel if you'd like to go and see http://www.youtube.com/user/FoxOfElysium
  4. Sounds like a lot of empty promises in regards to the PvP aspect. I feel like developers can be as vague as possible while using buzz words to try to catch the attention of the competitive community.
  5. People get away all the time. It is at no fault of the attacker either, sprint just adds a number of unnecessarily random variables to gameplay. Leaping off of power positions such as ring 3 of Abandon and top mid on Simplex can be perfectly acceptable at times in Halo 4 because you can get back so easily and quickly. If you can't get back to that same spot, you can just easily sprint to another power position in a moment's notice instead of being punished for your stupid decision. Tons of arguments have already been made about how detrimental sprint is to gameplay, so I'm not going to continue to recite them all. I can just assure you that they're are all true and reasonable.
  6. "I THINK THE FUCKING TOURNAMENT IS OVER" - Ninja
  7. I want to scrap ordinance entirely. I thoroughly enjoy the gameplay brought by AAs on the map, never on the player. All we need to keep for H5 is Jet Pack, Thruster, and Camo as a powerup. Can we bring back equipment too? Regenerator, power drain, and bubble shield should have never left us. Maybe we could make them work for competitive settings this time around, who knows.
  8. I'm hoping to see some promising new applicants.
  9. If only we could convince 343 reps. Hopefully they realize this and have something great in store for the next Halo.
  10. I agree on the infinity issue. I dislike everything about Infinity settings, but if they're going to keep it, at least rename the playlists they're in appropriately since they also exist with other gametypes.
  11. Happy to see the trolls from THC are making their way to our site. Don't bring negativity in to what we're trying to do, I think its safe to say enough of people like that were the anchors of that forum.
  12. I'm going to assume that he just hasn't entirely made his mind up on it and doesn't want to lead anyone on. I'm sure Ghost hates sprint just as much as we do, but he is human and wants to weigh the pros and cons of the situation. We'd be ignorant to deny that there are heavy negatives effects of removing sprint, while we'd also be ignorant to deny the amazing things it can bring to us.
