  1. What was your issue with the aiming before? Just posted that mine feels very loose. Also, on 0 percent deadzone on MCC my stick drifts, but it doesn't do that with 0 percent deadzone in Halo 5. I'm scratching my head at all the aiming differences.
  2. I'm scratching my head at the controller settings. I've always played on a 4 sensitivity, but now I hace no idea what's happened. Tell me if I'm headcasing: Halo 3's aim feels very loose to me. That's the only way I can describe it. When moving the right stick diagonally if feels like the sensitivity jumps up to a 10 at the slightest motion. Am I crazy? I don't remember halo 3 on 360 or even MCC back in 2014 aiming like that.
  3. I was wondering if I was going crazy last night with spawns. I kept being spawned with two enemies looking at me on The Pit and Onslaught.
  4. Similar thing happened to me. Beat him while I was watching his stream. He then proceeded to talk a tremendous amount of smack, tell his mods to hunt my teammate down on twitter, then proceeded to harass his gf on there. Good times.
  5. Let's go, Spartan! "Ryan, you're awful!" This Twitter beef is really getting played up.
  6. Any of the matches between the open teams being streamed? I've got both Halo streams up and the GoW up in three different windows. First time I've had this much eSports going and it feels amazing.
  7. Man, I've got a huge test on the upper body next week. Sitting here studying stressed out and I see Saiyan is streaming scims. "Great, I can have some relaxing background noise of something I enjoy," I think. Joke's on me, no comms! When did that become a thing?
  8. I've never agreed or identified with a comment more on this site. This whole community is in desperate need of HCS games, the MCC update, and some exciting news in general.
  9. Oh for real?! I played the first flights, but I didn't have a 4k display, so probably why I didn't notice. Yea, that's a gray area. I noticed we could talk about it now, but not share anything from the surveys. Curious to see about sharing media. Post in here if you find anything out, please!
  10. Yea, a bunch of my buddies didn't get in from the start. I saw that emails for 3 will be open and be sent out in the coming days, so hold out hope!
  11. Pretty excited. Any word if the campaigns have the 4k support in this Flight?
  12. She didn't. It took 3. She took the index from Installation 04 in CE and kept it up until the end of H3 when it was needed to fire the replacement 04. Pretty cool idea and writing to have the only tool possible to defeat the Flood be placed in the hands of an AI that was left with the Flood.
  13. Yea, I was talking about the MCC test. Okay, cool, it was just me headcasing then.
  14. So, trying to decipher between all the nonsense in here, is the Halo 3 aiming on MCC feeling fast legit or a troll? I played it a couple weekends ago and I thought it felt very fast and "squirrely." Didn't know if it was because I hadn't gotten to play any Xbox in days and was headcasing, or if it legit felt that way.
  15. Mostly story things I noticed. For one, it looks like Kait is being sent back to the New Hope Facility from GoW2 which is the lab where the Locust were born from Sires. Gameplay wise, I noticed Kait wielding what looked like a two handed melee weapon which were present in GoW3. It also looked like the Kryll were showing up. They were bats that one of the main Locust enemies used in GoW1 and had a cool mechanic to where you had to disperse them before you could deal damage to him. Another thing I noticed was the DeeBee robots being taken over by Swarm and changing how they interact with you in battle. It looked very similar to how Pure Flood Ranged forms worked. It's hard telling multiplayer wise, but the main grips on GoW4 were the split weapon tuning, connection issues that made shotgun fights trade often, and wallbounce canceling. We'll see with the reveal there, but a lot of things to be excited for in the campaign. Okay, I'm done being Off-Topic so soon. Point being, I'm psyched that Xbox is doubling down with Halo and Gears. Hoping for some more Halo info before E3 officially ends.
  16. I'm VERY pleased with the E3 showing today. First, Halo:Infinite. I was hoping to see a glimpse of gameplay or any info on a released or beta timeline. That's the disappointing side of this. The art style looks amazing. I love the direction this game appears to be taking visually. Chief's armor and helmet are great. That said, we don't know much. It's going to be a long wait, and I wish we had more than a brief glimpse and promises of flight testing. I hope all this feedback for years has been taken into account and the game is transcendent. It looks like H5 and MCC is on the horizon for us. The other big thing was Gears. Gears 5 stuff looks amazing from the lore side of things and gameplay side. Without going into too much depth, it looks like TC has changed some things and also taken feedback into account. With the mobile and RTS along with Halo:Infinite, it looks like these two franchises will be the cornerstones of Xbox and Microsoft gaming for the foreseeable future. The weird thing is the GoW5 release date. 2019. Well, would you think that Gears and Halo release the same year? I don't. Unless Gears releases in Spring of 2019 and Halo:Infinite in the Fall due to the flight testing. That would give them a full year and some change to test it, have another hype cycle, and get the game out. But, both flagship titles in the same years concerns me that Halo:Infinite won't be until 2020. Overall though, pretty great show. I like what Xbox is doing with these titles and building more studios around them.
  17. Over on r/Halo it looks like it's confirmed that the Halo segment on the Xbox show will have something surprising.
  18. I'm disappointed that Russet didn't make the cut. I thought it would have played well with CTF with the long sight lines and lower routes, especially if the flags were placed on the UNSC Logos of the bases. That said, I can see why it didn't make the cut. It's a bit reminiscent of Coli flag, and since this change was meant to provide more variety and change the meta, I understand why the focus was more on ball and variety maps. Fissure will be good, I think. I was worried about the lifts in tandem with ground pound, but I think they'll work decently enough now. I'm excited for these settings to go in the playlist to get some playtime with them. Ball seemed to work a lot better in the settings test streams.
  19. One would assume at this point that there will be H5 going through the Summer and probably through Mid-October if the model for past years is similar (correct me if I'm wrong). So, new settings and changes would need to be announced this month I guess. Adding Forge maps would be great, but the settings are the more intriguing part.
  20. Yea, I play it a few times a week. I haven't as much the last couple weeks, but the Trueskill Menke has implemented is pretty good in the social playlists. It goes live in every playlist when the ranks reset today, and I'm planning on putting a lot of time in it with the HCS playlist. In my experience with the HCS, I got from Onyx-low Diamond, and it's crazy how my rank swings based on party play. Going in solo I end up matching teams of 3-4, do well personally, and lose a ton of rank in a given session. However, when playing with my team, wins come a lot but you climb rank slowly. Hell, I would be happy if the Trueskill factoring in individual play just manages the loss of rank when searching solo. It'll be a huge improvement if you actually match parties similar to yours AND have a personal factor.
  21. Came back to this thread late. But, to add something to the already great matchmaking/ranked play talk, how do you guys feel about promoting a certain playlist with rewards? Apollo and Hard Way have some amazing points with this talk, and one of you mentioned promoting Team Arena as THE ranked playlist. Gears 4 gives a certain weapon skin based on the season and ranked achieved in a certain playlist. So, to take that a step further, how about giving, say, a magnum skin based on rank to players in Team Arena. EG, an Onyx skin with CSR on the handle based on top rank achieved that season. The only problem I could see with that model is that players in other playlists would be upset and not every player would be able to achieve a certain skin/reward. We've seen these type of complaints in Destiny, and are now in D2 with the pulse rifle being a reward for ranked Crucible. It's something to think about that goes hand in hand with visible rank. I think it would be cool to tie yourself to your rank not only with that, but with in game cosmetics too. I understand not everyone has the mindset most of us do in wanting to get better. Nevertheless, I don't think promoting ranks and rewards would be a negative addition.
  22. They did the experimental gametypes with Oddball/Assault and the community/pro players went nuts about it and complained about having to play maps and modes that weren't in the competitive play pool. Granted, those gametypes were a mess, but the experimental idea was still there. I think the key to that (which I agree, is a great idea) is implementing modes that are being tested for competitive play, but have them vetted beforehand to the point that they're quality modes. I would love to see Team Arena be THE ranked mode for Halo. I know that will probably catch some backlash as Halo has always had a variety of modes to offer in ranked play, and the community has a variety of players that only play a certain mode. The model now looks to be moving to a unified ranked experience. It would be so cool to me to be able to communicate with other ranked players about their rank. I've ran into a couple people here in my small area that saw me wearing a Halo shirt and told me they play. After talking I find out that they're Platinum players. Okay, that's awesome. Then the conversation goes further only to find out that they're talking about their rank in Slayer with vastly different settings, playstyles, and meta. Having one ranked playlist that is the end all be all would be a cool pipe dream.
  23. Damn, that's sick. I remember the Halo:Online buzz going around. It's pretty awesome that this was a fully realized project. I actually installed it last night but haven't had the chance to play. I'm sure I'll give it a shot this weekend, even though I'm awful with M+KB.
  24. How's this work? Is this actually Halo 3 on pc with matchmaking and all? It looks amazing.
  25. Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I just saw the 4v4 tourney tomorrow. Are there any teams out there that need a 4th? Really last minute I know, but I've got experience and would love to hop on a team if anyone needs someone. Shoot me a message if so. Also, so hyped for Worlds this weekend.
