  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBI7ho5P3F8 H2 Lashout is a 1:1 scale of Halo 2's Lockout with 30+ hours of forge dedication. I used respawn areas to size Halo 2 Anniversary's Lockdown, followed by converting those values for Halo 5, as well as going back to the original map. Along with using MCC as a guide, I used my prior experience forging Lockout for Halo Reach and for Halo 4. I chose to change up the aesthetics by making the map at night and by lighting up the map with the colors Mint and Ice Blue. H2 Lashout keeps as faithful to the original as possible and is meant to be played with all abilities disabled but can still be played using default Halo 5 settings. These values are recommended for a proper gameplay experience: 90% Forward Speed 90% Gravity Gamertag: JesseInsanity Map: H2 Lashout Gametype: H2 Slayer Disclaimer: I started this map when forge was first released. The current spawning is bugged for 1v1 gameplay due to the fact that I deleted my initial spawns(I hate myself for it XD). This map still plays great with FFA and Team Slayer. Breakout and Capture The Flag are experimental but since there's no option for One Flag, I do not recommend playing those gametypes. The screenshots look darker than how it looks in game and since the initial screenshots, I've increased the brightness of various areas.

  3. Very true, I forgot about that. Did they work on Vista as well though?
  4. Delaying MCC would of been a smart idea and I'm not defending 343 for releasing the game in such an unfinished state. I was thinking about MCC as a whole and there's something I thought I'd point out. MCC uses Halo PC and Halo 2 Vista's coding.. if any of you played those games, you would know that those games hit registrations, to this day, were never fixed by Bungie.. MCC has many issues that still need to be addressed but the fact that 343 took the time to do something that Bungie never did throughout the years leaves a pretty solid statement. Your thoughts?
  5. He said if you say sprint it won't be heard by 343i, because they've made it clear that they're sticking with it..
  6. I'm in between what I want with future Halo games when it comes to sprint. I'm not really for sprint but I feel like if they're wanting to immerse the player to be a Spartan, you should be able to fire while sprinting and thrustering, kinda like gameplay from Unreal Tournament, where you have increased speed but still can fire along with shields not able to recharge while doing so.. Having Spartan IVs yell at me doesn't make me feel like a Spartan.. when I think of a Spartan, I think of John, Kelly, Linda, and Fred... they were silent, organized killing machines.. I understand that Spartan IVs are more like advanced military than super genetic soldiers like the original Spartans so it kinda makes sense but honestly I think less AI communication is better.. just let players communicate like they should.. little heads up cues are fine just don't overdo it.
  7. Wow! I've played every Halo game and some of these things I never knew.. I feel so dumb lol but I was really young when I played Halo CE, like 12-14? lol This is amazing, thank you.. I'd like to see more helpful videos like this for all Halo games
  8. There were a lot of comments with people stating that H2A is nothing but a Halo 4 clone.. watching the tournament, I'm insanely excited.. I don't think the game will have the majority of Halo 4's flaws and I've always said that if you adjust Halo 4's engine to be as close to Halo 2 as possible, it would be one of the best Halo games out there.. both graphically and with gameplay.. would you agree to this assessment? From what I saw there's still tons of tweaks they need to make but what elements from H2A felt close to H2C? Thank you for taking the time to answer questions, you're a boss
  9. Hahah what a trooper, way to win the match with a true level 3 XD Loved the video
  10. When I went to click the link for Halo: The Master Chief Collection Astro Speaker Tags, I got a threat detected warning by Avast. I usually disable Adblock to support the website but I'm not sure if I should anymore.. Keep in mind this happened to me repeatedly until I re-enabled my Adblock.
  11. Amazing story, I'm glad that you stuck with things even through your hardships, it's very inspiring. I too, am very passionate about Halo. Strangely enough, I think Halo started my social life. When I was younger, I was anti-social and now I can be quite the chatterbox. Welcome to the site and good luck in the future!
  12. Not exactly. The version you're referring to was a ravine version meant for no sprint. This version is on Forge Island and is meant for sprint.
  13. I'm not sure why but my map posted twice >.<
  14. Thank you, and I can only hope right? XD At least we have a better Lockout to play on.
  15. Lashout An upscaled remake of Halo 2's Lockout which focuses on improving the matchmaking experience of Halo 4's Shutout by including excluded gameplay elements from the original map. I started the concept for this remake in Halo: Reach on 10/15/2010. My original goal was to remake Lockout in every aspect when it comes to line-of-sight, jump ups, weapon placement, and spawn placement with no sprint in mind. The problem with remaking Lockout with this approach is Halo 4's spawn system and how it's meant for bigger maps. With this realization, I remade my concept but with a bigger scale which in return created a smoother and closer experience to the original Lockout. There are three different versions of this map: Lashout, a matchmaking equivalent which uses ordinance Lashout Spectator, the same as the matchmaking equivalent but with green spectators above a grid Lashout Classic, spawns and map geometry are the same as the matchmaking equivalent but weapon placement is placed as close to the original map without ordinance.
