  1. I started making Beer Pong in , made it again in H2A, and now I managed to pull it off in Halo 5 (about 350 scripts later). Players will need to control the speed of their mongoose as they drive off of a ramp and try to land it in all cups. Each cup will disappear when you land in it, so you need to eliminate each individual cup to win the round. I didn't use the Party Cups because they were too small for a mongoose to land in. This game works with anywhere from 2-16 players, and I have a 10 Cup Version and a 6 Cup Version available to choose from depending on number of players and skill level. Enjoy! 2. In this adaptation of the popular sport the ball carrier is unable to move, so they must pass the ball to their teammates to score. The ball carrier is given a slight jump advantage, so always jump before passing. The ball will reset very quickly if no one picks it up, and if the ball hits the ground in the end zone it will reset. The only player that can die is the ball carrier, and it takes about 6 melee hits to kill him. 4-16 players. Co-forge with Vincent Torre. File Browser - Bookmark Map File Browser - Bookmark Game Mode
  3. The purpose of this video is to bring attention to some missing features that were very useful for custom game lobby hosts in previous Halo games. Many of these features are only appreciated by those who host custom game lobbies, but it's important to remember how it also impacts the large number of players who like to join lobbies. At this point with Halo 5 and the updates so far it seems unlikely that these particular features will return unless we show 343 how bad we want them to return. A full file browser has been confirmed for future updates otherwise I would have included that as well. Have one of these missing features negatively impacted your custom games experience? Please comment below. #H5HostingPains #1 Maximum Player Count #2 DIsable Team Changing #3 Boot Player Mid-game #4 Open Privacy #5 Game Chat in the Menu Video Topic by TurbTastic Video Editing by Buddy Jumps Commentary by TurbTastic
  4. I've been creating custom forge maps and playing in custom game lobbies for years, and I want to bring more attention to the Major Problems that are negatively impacting the Custom Games scene. In no particular order, here they are: 1. Fireteam size allows for more than 16 players, but you can't start with more than 16. Even if you have it on Invite Only, people can still invite their friends and make this very difficult for the host, requiring him to Kick players from the game. This has never been a problem in previous Halo games. 2. We need a Maximum Party size option, like we always had. I should be able to set my lobby to a limit of 10 players if I want. 3. Add Privacy Options for Open, and Closed. Open would allow Followers and Recent Players to join without an invite. Closed would prevent new players altogether. 4. Make it so that Fireteam Chat works in the menu. Try getting players on certain teams in a 16 player lobby sometime. 5. After playing a FFA game the players (other than the host) can't see or switch teams. The host has to turn Teams On/Off as a workaround. 6. Bookmarked Custom Game modes won't load unless the exact base game mode is loaded first. I get messages almost everyday from followers experiencing this issue. 343 is fully aware (I know from watching Livestreams), and they haven't done anything about it. 7. Party Leader cannot Boot players mid-game. If I'm mistaken, please correct me. 8. The ability to Change Teams mid-game was added without the option to disable that feature. Ideally, the Party Leader could Enable/Disable this feature mid-game. Starting a match you usually wouldn't want that to be on, but if teams become uneven mid-game then you would want it on. 9. Party Leader should be able to change the Privacy (Friends/Invite Only) mid-game. I'm pretty sure we used to be able to do this. 10. Party Leader should be able to promote someone else as the leader mid-game. 11. When using game chat, you should be able to see who's talking, without pulling up the scoreboard. Had to get that out of my system. Please Like/Comment in hopes that 343 sees this and does something about it. If a certain issue is driving you crazy, then please mention which number it is. If I missed something (major), then please comment about it.

  6. A little over a year ago I created a map and game type in H2A to simulate the gameplay of Basketball as much as possible in Halo, and it got pretty popular. The recent Grifball update made it so that I could finally recreate Basketball in Halo 5. There were a few things about the new ball mode that were disappointing. There aren't options for Automatic Ball Pickup or Initial Ball Physics like we had in Halo 4 and H2A. Also, the ball physics are like that of a medicine ball or bowling ball in that it is very heavy and has little to no bounce to it. Hopefully 343 will be able to add Automatic Ball Pickup as an option. The only player that can die is the ball carrier and it takes 3 melee hits to kill them. Players must pass the ball back and forth to each other until someone has a good shot at the hoop. Pick-up the ball using the reload button (X by default). Shoot or pass the ball with the shoot button (right trigger by default). You can do a layup maneuver by pressing the Y button instead if you are close to the hoop and release at the right time of your jump. Defensively you want to melee ball carriers, intercept passes, try to block shots, and rebound shots. I'd like to thank my brother, SoS Darth Algar, for helping a lot with aesthetics. He made the rim & net, trophy, cheerleader grunts, press booth, and the corner exits. I'd also like to thank The222v for graciously allowing me to punch him repeatedly for about an hour while I got the Health and Damage settings as good as they can be. 7. This is my rendition of Rocket League, which is a vehicle-based soccer match where players must use their Ghost to push a soccer ball into the opponent's goal. With some clever scripting and teleporters I was able to use CTF to award the proper team with a point when they scored, ending the round. CTF was ideal since it has good indicators for Score vs Defend. I made a Small version (2-6 players, 1 ball) and a Big version (8-16 players, 3 balls). I wanted to use Scout Warthogs, but they try to traverse the soccer ball rather than push it. Your Ghost may flip if you try to push the ball at full boost. I like to ram it once or twice to get its speed built up a bit, then start to push with full boost. Enjoy! 8. In this minigame players spawn on a platform with 26 rainbow-colored blocks for each team's side. The blocks are color-coded with explosive barrels in the distance. Each player is equipped with a sniper rifle. If a player on the Red Team shoots a Green Barrel, then a Green Block will despawn on Blue Team's side creating a death hazard. Barrels explode with 2 hits, and I recommend scoping in twice for accuracy and to see the colors better. Stabilizers are enabled, so if you are scoped in and the block you are standing on despawns then there is a split second where you have a chance to thrust to an adjacent block and clamber up. This is a round-based survival game where one team wins when they've eliminated the opponents. Load 343 Strongholds, then Rainbow Sniping. This minigame works best with 2-10 players, but it is built to work with 16. The round goes too fast with more than 10 players. 9. In this game everyone is provided with a warthog and must survive on a stage that gets smaller every 20 seconds. The physics with the warthog are better than the mongoose in my opinion. Rounds are 2 minutes each, and each ring is marked with a decal to indicate when the ring will disappear. This map is compatible with FFA Sumo (Slayer) and Team Sumo (Strongholds). Rounds are 2 minutes each, and each ring is marked with a decal to indicate when the ring will disappear. Right now it is team-based and uses strongholds, but once more game mode options are available I will make a game mode that plays as a free-for-all. 11. This racetrack is a remake of Bowser’s Castle from Mario Kart 64. Features include a fire-breathing Bowser statue, scripted crate Thwomps, and a lava bridge. Speed boost powerups work like mushroom boosts, and there’s another powerup near the end that drops crates on opponents just ahead of you. Since there are so many sharp 90 degree turns I added infection shields in some places which work like bumpers. Laps take about 1 minute and 30 seconds. The map is designed for mongoose racing and supports up to 16 players. Play with my race gametype for the best experience.
  12. In this minigame each player tries to survive the longest in their warthog. The platform is an 8x8 grid riddled with holes that players can fall through. Players that die respawn in a room filled with 16 switches, and each switch launches in a kill ball below (10 second recharge). The switches are color coordinated with the platform below, so players know where the kill ball will appear which allows them to target specific players. Switches are not available for the first 30 seconds of each round.
