  1. Since the start of Halo 5, I've been grinding as much as I can, and looking for a long-term team to be a part of. I've made a lot of friends and have been a part of a few teams that just didn't click in my mind, so I've been living the free agent life for some time now.

    Experience:

As far as my background with Halo goes, I've played online and in ladders since 2009 with Halo 3 all the way through 2012 with Halo: Reach. I took a hiatus with Halo 4 due to family and life issues...I just didn't have the drive to grind and decided to take time to myself to heal. I was back on the scene in H2A when I got my Xbox One in 2014. I still didn't compete too much, but I did grind for fun! And then came Halo 5. I've been grinding as much as I can (usually 5 hours a day or so), and I've improved my skill from Gold all the way up to the brink of Onyx/High Diamond, and I'm still growing.

    Role:

I'm a strong support/OBJ player. I've never been the best slayer. I can go slay-for-slay with Onyx 2000+, but I never have an overwhelmingly positive record. Knowing that's my weakness, however, I've been working on improving it. Strong suits come with running flags, holding hills, and timing power ups and weapons.

    What I'm Looking For:

I'm looking for something very specific. I'm fairly picky...I want a team that meshes on a personal level, first and foremost. Out-of-game friendships are very important for in-game. I need people willing to work with each other on overcoming our weaknesses, I need people who are flexible, I need people who have the same mindset and goals as myself.

  2. Are you Hobbes from Reach? Knocked us out orlando 2011 and we revenged you Columbus 2012? You had like 10 headshots on us game 2 beaver creek and we barely won 50-49 and then we won countdown slayer. You were the only one doing well lol and I was destroying that tourny too.

Hit me up, I matched with gammage yesterday :P Im very good at H5 and we are pounding the game hard not just with slaying power but a lot of strats and rotations on each gametype/map.

    Allstar FA is the GT

That wasn't me, but I did compete in online ladders and tourneys for Reach in the day. Still, would love to run with you man! I'll add you

    Goals:

I want to attend events in and out of the HCS league. As most of you know by now, the HCS Pro League will start up following the HCS World Finals this March. That's out of reach at that point, but I would still like to grind ladders, go to events like MES Detroit and #G4G in Michigan. Heading into HCS Season 4, I'd like to be known, and thought of as a "semi pro" team with at least a few wins under our belt, whether it's online or LAN.

  4. Hecz dropped a wisdom bomb on the Halo community a few days ago, and it's been eye-opening to those of us who love and cherish this game and its community. In his words, it's "our baby, our responsibility" and we need to take charge. How I first found Halo was through content on YouTube. Red vs. Blue anyone? That was my intro to the world of Halo. We've grown complacent with our content creation, and expected our viewership not to dwindle. Hecz stated, "you can't expect the developer to create the game AND keep viewers interested", and he's right. We're given this platform, and we need to use it.

So I had an idea: collective effort community montages. Think about what 343i does for us on a weekly basis. We're given social playlists like Rumble Rockets, Weekend Snipers, Weekend Doubles, and we've all shouted "XBOX RECORD THAT" a few times during some hilarious, sick, or otherwise AMAZING gameplay in those playlists. Let's USE that footage. Let's make fun montages showcasing the fun side of Halo. Every week, we could release a montage for the previous weekend. It'd be a great way to pay homage to the playlists, as well as bring viewership.

So, what do we need, then?

    • Player videos from the playlsits
    • Video editors willing to participate
    • A social media task force promoting the videos

Let's do this, guys. I'm down for spitballing ideas in the thread here! And if you're willing to donate your services to the cause, which is bringing Halo back to the forefront of the gaming community, then let me know, whether it's clips you're donating or your time and effort editing videos...let's go boys and girls!!!
